Default 75 shot or 100 shot for 1/4 mile?

I have a 100 shot with first gear lock out but was thinking about putting in the 75 shot so I could launch in first gear and try to get better 60fts. Any thoughts on this?

Stock tires now but getting Nitto 555r's on 18" asap. My car is a manual and the window switch is set to come on in 2nd gear at 3200rpm and off at 6300rpm. The car is violent when the nitrious kick's in and gets side ways real fast. No more nitrious unless I have it in competition mode from now on.

Is your track preped? well preped?

Are you using tps or a wot switch?

You could run a progressive controler.

Or mess with the rpm the N20 comes on 3500-4200.

I would run the rears at 24psi and do a med burnout 3-5 seconds of smoke.

Depending how your system is set up / tuned you will not want to run in comp mode, if the N20 is still on and it cuts pwr it will blow up.

Have you tried this yet what hapened when AH kicked in did the N20 shut off too?

I am using TPS and track is well preped. I was under the impression that in Competitive Driving Mode it reduced timing to cut power??? If not PLEASE let me know because I have not tried it yet and I was told it would be safe. The car has only been sprayed 3 times on the dyno and I hit it on the way home from the shop with traction control and active handerling turned off and got so side ways I had to let off.

I run a 100 shot in my car and I always run with the Competition mode. Comp mode only applies brakes accordingly when the car starts to get sideways. MTI in Houston installed my nitrous and they told me this is the safest way to go. They did say NEVER-EVER to run it with the T/C-A/H on.

I have a dry shot but I am taking it off more likely because I cant find anyone in Houston or in texas for that matter who is willing to tune it. They all seem to shy away or try to convince me to switch over to wet which i will not do.

Better off w/ Mickey Thompson ET STREET Drag Radials & 17 x 9.5s out back-more sidewall -less rotating mass w/ 17s

I have one kind of a hassel but if your fuel pump goes out or the filter clogs it will save you.

Yes sir, I totally agree they are a much better tire for the 1/4 mile. I used them on all my Mustang's but I am afraid I will break half-shafts or worse with my torque @ 589lbs. I have also used Nitto 555R's @44psi to carve up canyon roads and even at the autocross track and believe it or not they work well as a all around tire.

The Nittos will allow spraying a smal shot in 1st gear, say 75 or 100. even if ya still get a little tire spin you'll see a 60' improvement and a quicker ET. My buddy runs them and gets 1.7x's with a 100 shot, and mid 11's.

Someone asked if any run dry hits, I do and have mucho experiance with said dry hits. If I can help in any way let me know. On the tuning side of things, nozzle placement is key for a good starting a/f. I have links to some threads on this if any would be interested.

My current set-up going together is a 408 and a 300rwhp dry hit.

Robert
