Default SC with LG G6X3 CAM

I have an LG G6X3 cam and looking at adding a ProCharger. Should I be OK with this cam?

Also currently I have no bottom end changes, what limits should I be considering in boost?

I personally think that cam is best suited for NA applications, and would not use it with forced induction. Regarding the boost level with the stock bottom end, you will get opinions all across the board, and you need to decide the risk that you are willing to take. Will you be running meth, race gas? To ME PERSONALLY, I would only run 6-7 pounds of boost, especially where only 91 octane fuel is available.

I am a big fan of LG Motorsports and that cam is my personal favorite. It is not the right cam for an FI application. If you call them up, they will tell you themselves. They do make a blower cam that you can ask them about.

If they told me I could have used that cam with my blower I would have.

It's an NA cam.

Good luck.

If Its in the car already, and you want to put a blower on, go ahead use it

If you have no cam in the car, opt for something more blower friendly

It isnt like the car will not run with a blower and this cam Its just not what I would sell a customer if they called and said I want to put a blower on my car, what cam should I get?

Have you seen supercharged ls3's run this cam and can you elaborate more on what this combo would be like? I have the same cam and am considering putting on a supercharger while I"m gone on deployment.

They just did a stock shortblock LS3 with ported LS3 heads and that cam with an F-1A. It did over 800rwhp and 11-12psi of boost if memory serves. It was fairly recent and should be posted in the first few pages of this section.

Any aftermarket cam should make more power with a blower regardless if it's blower specific but if you want to optimize power then go with the blower specific cam.

My advice would be to limit the power right around 500-550whp and upgrade the springs, lifters and pushrods. Going to cost you a little up front but will definitely save you in the long run.

He has the G6X3. He already has to have better springs and pushrods to run that cam.

He better. I think that cam is damn close to .650 lift. With that kind of lift I would be changing springs every 15-20k as a wear item.

Just be sure to double check... even some aftermarket parts are pretty garbage. My supposedly good aftermarket valve springs broke on my stock cam. A quick search on here revealed that a lot of people where having the same issue.

Those babies cost me a motor a few years ago. Later versions of the 918 spring are supposed to be better. I'll never trust another single spring because of that experience though....don't care how "good" they supposedly are.

I've got a brand new set sitting on my shelf in the garage that I won in a raffle. I was like "wtf am I going to do with these things, I won't even be able to give them away", lol.

First, the G6x3 requires the Comp 921s.

Second, we have made 820rw with the G6x3, F1A, 93, and meth on a stock bottom end LS3. Yes, stock bottom end.

It's all about the total combination on the car so you have to make sure everything is setup right and the tune is nailed down.
