Default New Light Weight Front Skinny wheel package!

After having a few customers choose the CCW wheel package, and installing them we got curious and took some weights.

We weighed a 17" CCW front wheel and tire (tire being a M&H front radial which we know is 8lbs heavier then the bias ply front tire). The CCW wheel weighed in at an astonishing 38 pounds. Not nearly as low as we had hoped, especially for the price point (granted with a bias ply you can get the weight to roughly 30 pounds).

So we contacted Weld, and decided to see what we could get the weight down to. Having to use their five star wheels, due to size constraints, this was our lightest option.

The wheel is everything we were trying to achieve, looks and function. The whole wheel package includes the following
-Billet CNC spacer
-ARP longer wheel stud, and lug nut kit
-Weld Aluma star
-Your choice of tire, or none

The total wheel package including tire, spacer and studs weighs 21 pounds! That nearly 10 pounds lighter the the CCW drag package!

We are finishing the billet spacers which allow ZERO grinding on the caliper, and make this an easy 2 hour bolt on affair. (Have to change the studs on the hubs)

If your interested I am going to try and run some introductory pricing for our first 10 batches.

Regards
-Brandon

my ccw and radial tire front weighs 37lbs, with a bias 30lbs each , so are you rim studs spacer and tire 21 lbs each, give us the weight of just the rim and studs and spacer and tire individually so their is no mix up

Do you know what E.T. improvement is? Have been thinking of skinny's on the front. Currently just put DR's on at the track.

Well, that is my car you see in the picture and it is definately faster with the new wheel/tire combo.

Before the wheel tire on my mid boost setting trapping ~ 151 I was running ET's of around 9.5x and 60's were commonly mid to high 1.4's. After the skinny on teh same boost setting I was running 9.0x and pulling high 1.3x's consistantly and about the same MPH.

The only real changes for that were the wheels and the weight that they saved.

Great wheel and tire combo! Lightest thing around I could find.

Are these wheels recommended for street use or are they a track only type wheel?
