Default Experience with P1SC unit VS P1SC-1

Can any one tell me what the difference with these two units is? was the P1SC prone to problems?

The difference between the P-1SC and the P-1SC-1 is both the impeller and compressor housing. The P-1SC is a straight cut impeller and shares the common street trim 6.25" exducer where the P-1SC-1 is a smaller 5.25" exducer with a helical spun impeller. If you really get into specs you can consider the P-1SC-1 a mini version of the D-1SC impeller. The P-1SC-1 is technically a better supercharger than the P-1SC because of its impeller design. Other than that they are the same. (Bearings, Step-up Ratio, etc)

P-1SC Impeller is run more on trucks it comes in quicker for low tq but the p-1sc-1 is for cars vettes its more aggressive but the truck style is cheaper to make into a d1 with a bigger impeller less machine work is needed to install the d1 impeller $100 to be exact!

Jeremy hit this one right on the head with that post. A few things to take it a bit further. The -1 blower works better with a higher RPM rev'ing motor. It was initially designed for the LS motor and has had equally beneficial results for Modular Ford motors. The biggest down fall for this blower when considering for a vehicle is modifications. While this blower works outstanding for a "mostly" stock vehicle, it will run out of steam on a 7.0L LS motor with the addition of a cam.

A/C Man is correct that the standard P1-SC is great for trucks and lower rev'ing motors, he is incorrect on the price for upgrade. You can contact Procharger Tech for current pricing on P1 to D1 upgrades.

P1SC to D1SC upgrades retails $1500. I can get you into an upgrade for under $1300 if one is in your future.
