Default Max boost through a FAST LSXR 102

Opinions. Go with the FAST or sheet metal intake? What is the maximum safe SC boost using a LSXR 102? Build is based off a forged LSX434 with GMPP LS7X heads and F2R.

Sheetmetal or single plane with elbow... I've had issues with my FAST with higher boost levels, Taylor at DP is fabbing up a new manifold setup for me right now...

ECS removed my FAST due to unsafe boost level with potential for breakage.

Thanks. That's what I figured (Sheetmetal). Unfortunatley when I had the build on paper I wasn't going with a high boost so we purchased a new FAST 102 and ported it. Guess I will post it in the F/S section.

Things have a way of getting away and upgraded quickly. LOL Ended up with an F2R and much higher boost combo.

Do you know what DP's turn around time is on the manifold?

how much boost are you running? Did you have a FAST 102 or 92?

I just bought a kit from ECS and have a FAST 102.

Mine was only 90 with no burst panels @ 10psi.

the 102 seems well constructed. I'll only be running 10 psi or so and I'd surprised if it didn't hold that. I will check with ECS to see what they think....

This is controversial however most folks just replace it for something that has more volume such a sheetmetal or in my case, a edelbrock jr. single plane with an elbow. It's banana's!!!!

(Oh, talking about the motor in my camaro, not the z06's)

I put 19-20psi thru a LSXR102 for over a year with no issues. My new build will most likely put 30psi thru one. I believe fast says the intake has been tested to 65psi( im not sure about this). I know there have been a few people have issues, but I think the cars that had problems were injecting alot of methanol.

Well i know its about 8 years later but was wondering how your FAST 102 has held up. How much boost did you run to it?
currently have a D1 procharger but plan on upgrading to a F1a.
using ls6 intake right now

LS6 probably gona last a lot longer than the FAST, for little difference in power

Seen way too many fast pop, or leak like hell and owners not even know. Last one I pulled apart had 2 runners just laying in the bottom that broke off from the boost. There is a huge risk, with little to no gain. Just run a stock intake until you get into the 1200+range. Then you can run something like a G1Pro, hiram, etc.

I'd leave stock on it or go with a billet intake...

But for reference I ran a Fast 102 on mine for years at 28#
