Default Texas Mile Car - 424ci RHS & 106mm Turbo

Corvette C6 Z06
Built and Tuned by Hinson Motorsports

We are headed for the Texas Mile on Oct 22-24! This will be our first one mile event, so we are very excited and look forward to learning as much as possible about one mile racing versus the typical 1/4 mile drag racing. Our goal is to push this car to the very extreme limits and continue future events. Our initial power goal is to be determined upon many different variables such as track conditions, weather, etc.. Our long term power goal is 1800+ rwhp.

We will update this thread with more info and pictures as the build continues.

do you think you'll be able to beat tommy's bahn supra?
he did pretty good 249,3 mph but a 1800whp corvette is not freaking around!

sick setup...

Is the car ready?
if the car have the right gearing and ran good Anything under 250mph with that setup I'd be very sad.

I'm surpsied you guys went with TFS 235 over 6bolt LS7 Heads??

Regardless of potential considering the Vette record is 226mph as far as I know........the first goal should be to beat that. Very excited to see a vette run

We need a full tilt corvette to represent us! IIRC, not too many similar vettes in the mile recently..

Good luck!

The car is coming together at the last minute. We plan to put the engine on the engine dyno tonight. This is our fist RHS block assembly, and it introduced new challenges from bowtie, LSx, SBC, and BBC assemblies.

Our original plan was to run the rear mount 88mm turbo C5 ZO6 that we built, but we knew that wouldn't be "enough." It was a good learning platform which we have decided to scale up a bit.

*We are going to be selling the rear mount 88mm system from the C5 car. It can be sold as a complete kit or for install. Contact us directly for pricing if you're interested. sales@hinsonsupercars.com *

We don't have plans on winning the event by any means. That would be a foolish thing to claim for the first time out. We are looking to gain experience for future events. Assuming everything falls in place, we expect to speed up with every pass over the weekend. We hope to beat the existing Corvette record, so it should be an experience.

We hope to meet as many people at the track as possible. We will be staying at the track, so stop by and say hello. I'll be the guy in the goofy hat.

We'll post more details soon.
