Default New Aeromotive Stealth 340 pump

Just found this tonight Aeromotives new pump, looks just like a walbro but if flows 340lph at 43 psi instead off walbro's 255. Would that be sufficient to support 650rwhp with 72# injectors?

What was the LPH on the Z06 pump?

Interesting...Looks like a good find.

Zoh pump flow has been debated. Not sure theres a consensus. <=255 though.

Have you had any real world testing to see what this can handle on a boosted car? The graph is very impressive, roughly a 30% increase in fuel. I would think it could support 650rwhp but I will have to see some results before I dive into the tank.

This is going to be a great swap for those guys with the double pumper setups.

Hopefully Aeromotive prices them competitively with the Walbro's.

How so? Do you mean swapping 2 Walbro's for 2 Aeromotives?

Yea, kind of confused on that too ARun. I can't say I'd rip out my twin Walbros for these. If I were starting from scratch I sure would use them. I guess what you meant was that kits like RSI and Lonnie's will now have even greater output.

They are very reasonably priced and look like a leap forward in in tank pumps that has been lacking for years.

I think another market would be for guys who need just a little more than a single 255. Re1scue came up with a way to keep the venturi on a Walbro 255 swap and it would work the same on this pump.

Big thumbs up on this pump!

How would this work with the stock fuel lines and roughly 600rwhp (supercharged)? I wanna ditch my BAP and go with a single pump and don't really hve any plans to go past that power level.

IMO it would be perfect. The only "problem" is that the stock pump has a small output that helps to fill the bucket. No other pump has this except the LPE/Racetronix which is sold only as the whole bucket assembly. Now I personally think the bucket is not a necessity. I have the bottom of mine cut off to be able to house two Walbros. So I would be an advocate of replacing the stock pump with this Aeromotive 340 and drill some holes in the bottom of the bucket or just relying on the flapper to let fuel in.

You mean to fill the bucket from the fuel that's in the tank?

Not to hijack this thread but yea. There is a flapper valve at the bottom of the bucket to let fuel in passively as well as a venturi that is driven off the small output of the pump to actively fill the bucket. IMO the flapper is going to allow the level of fuel in the bucket be the same as the level in the tank at all times, even under WOT. The only time the venturi would come into play is when the tank level is below the top of the bucket, which means you have <= 1/8th of a tank of fuel.

So what do you guys think if I run this pump alone with the 72psi injectors at 650rwhp will I run out of fuel? I also plan to run the racetronix harness to get a few extra volts directly from the altenator.

Hey Bill,

I looked on LPE's web page and I did not see the specific racetronix setup you were referring to which one is it

Our Aeromotive rep just left a few minutes ago, and we're planning on testing this pump shortly. We'll be adding it to our online store shortly, so give us a call if we can help you.

I don't know if this helps any, but I ran a single Walbro 255 for quite a while on my supercharged GMC with 60# Motrons. It was at about 475 rwhp HP. That's through a 4L80. It was good there but wasn't at about 25 hp more. It could have been at its max or it could have been getting tired. Have two 255's now with return system. Plenty of fuel now.

Edit: My BAP is acting a fool....extremely interested if this pump with support 670 wheel.
