Default New ERL Setup for Atomic Fusion C6 Z06 Updates and Pics

Well,

We have been doing some testing with the new motor.

We now have the new ERL powerplant tuned and working well with the new intake, and Throttle body. We have been testing with the 30" tall drag radials as well.

Our first goal with the new setup is to be able to build about 7-8psi on the line so that we can launch with enough power to be able to stay consistantly in the 1.2x range.

Our second goal is to spin the motor way higher than we ever spun the old motor. The new setup is a Solid Roller setup and we expect to be able to spin the motor as high as 9000rpms!

Durring testing we were easily able to build 6 pounds of boost on multiple attempts and were also able to hold the shifts as high as 8500rmps (we didn't try to go higher)

We plan on doing some more testing next week and I will share updates as I have them.

Now for some pics

Also you can see some of our initial testing of the new motor in this video...

Good to hear Mark, any plans for a hood like the rendering? How's the current timing system at those high rpm's?

Yes, I have the Carbon Fiber hood being worked on to make a cowl like the renderings...

As for timing, it took some work, but we got it working up to 8500rpms. As you probably know, the reluctor wheel doesn't work as well at really high rpms as an external crank trigger would.

In the class you are running are there limitations such as no external crank trigger?

No, we can run one, we can even convert over to a distributer if we want to... I just haven't gone that far... Yet.

Damn that motor looks amazing! Those giant tires look funny on the Z06, though I guess it doesn't matter how they look when she is going down the track as fast as she does.

Aluminum Rods????

I'm assuming this is not the normal advertised ERL Superdeck II short block with weisco pistons, manley rods and Callies crank?
