Default Just Ordered my Weld RTS Drag Wheels

I just ordered my Weld RTS Drag wheels "rears only". What tires do you recommend. Looking for a drag radial or slick. Drag radial preferred. What is the largest tire I can put back there? 08 C6 LS3 "non wide body". The rim is a 17x11

Excellent! Will these fit on an 11" wide rim? Wasn't sure if a 295 would be to narrow??

I would have ordered a narrower rim and run the 275/45 tire. The 335 hoosiers will probably be your best bet IMO. I hav the 315/35/17" et streets and my next tire will be the hoosiers. Going back I wish I just got the 275s.

You can put a 295 on an 11" wheel no problem

What are your mods? Need to gear according to power level and length of race to maximize acceleration. Will the 17x11 tuck inside the fenderwells of a non wide body?

08 ls3
Cam
Ported Intake
Ported throttle body
Longtubes
Exhaust
150 shot nitrous

Yes the 17x11 from weld are offset for the non widebody. Haven't been to the track yet with the setup. Wanting to get this tire situation taken care of. I also wasn't sure if the stock axles and diff would handle it. The car has a two step. I plan to spray out of the hole and launch off the two step at 3500rpm. I also just ordered the spec p trim twin disc. Should be here Monday.

From my experience the driveshalf is good but the Axles could give up at the launch, the DSS axles are strong, I have them on my car, you should install some QA1 adjustable shocks and take the stabalizer of the front.
The differential should have harden out put shalf especially the long shalf, and be carefull where you buy the harden shalves, RPM sell a good set.
Now the Spec p twin disc, I am sorry but its not my choice, from my experience with that clutch I will not want that next to my garage, so I threw it in the gabage after 500mile and 2 launch. I now have the RPS tripple disc and what a difference.

Your car should be trapping ~140. I'd recommend a 315/35 Hoosier with that wheel and stock gearing. Also atleast get a hardened driverside diff out shaft and C5 axles as that Spec twin is difficult to slip, know lots of guys who have broken diffs with it...goodluck!

Thank you! Are these the tires you are suggesting?

Also, where can I purchase the shaft for the diff? Will any c5 axle work?
