Detoxx Procharger Thread
I got this car on December 17th 2011. I had a 2002 Trans Am before it making 640/580 on a forged 383 built by Futral Motorsports. It was my pride and joy for 6 years but I got rear ended in August and the car got totaled. As a result I knew my next car would be a Corvette with a Procharger. I always wanted a Corvette and a Procharger so I guess it was a opportune time to combing the two.
This build was already planned out in my mind so once the car was in my possession officially I started selling old parts from my Trans Am and putting extra money aside for my kit. I wanted this to be done by March so I could attend TX2K12 and Futral was gonna be doing the work. Those were the only certainties in the whole situation. To fast forward a bit, the kit was ordered mid-Feb and I dropped the car off March 2nd.
I picked the car up on March 9th and that was the longest/fulfilling wait i've had in a long time. The mods consist of:
Procharger D-1SC Kit
80lb FIC Injectors
Mickey Thompson ET Streets
Kenne Belle BAP
Katech LS9R Twin Disk Clutch
Custom Futral Motorsports Blower Cam
Futral Motorsports Custom Tuning
The car baselined 408/392 bone stock with the factory NPP exhaust. The modded numbers are 638/538 on 7lbs without headers or meth using the 4.75" pulley supplied by Procharger.
I absolutely love this kit and the power delivery. Allan Futral and his team did a great job as usual and the tune is awesome. I drove it 5 hours to Houston with nice cold A/C, no cam surging or bucking, raced it a whole bunch, drove it 5 hours back home and didn't have one problem.
Thanks to Procharger for making a great kit and Futral Motorsports for once again doing a classy install, having great customer service, and giving me a superb tune!!!

LS7 exhaust manifolds and mids really awoke my N/A LS3 and couldn't imagine my A&A Supercharged 09 A6 without this simple clean exhaust upgrade.

Heard that once on here when I posted the video and graph but no tricks were used and it is what it is. I'm having a blast with it now and can't wait to up the power.

The headers should be going on in a week or so.

LS7 exhuast manifolds/mids make a very clean install and doesn't reduce ground clearence. However, headers do maximize rwhp. It's a trade off, but either are clearly better than LS3 exhaust manifolds.

I'll pass on doing that. I haven't seen any issues with ground clearance from LT's on these cars and plus if I'm gonna spend money I'm gonna do it right the first time.
