Yes that's exactly why I have guys refer to the Tuner, because they all have their preferred way of doing things. You must be using Speed Inc, they are awesome and are really good at doing the E85 conversions and getting really good power from stock bottom-end using the corn-fuel.

Thought I would ask the expert to make sure I got good advice so here goes:

We live at 7,000 feet so if a super charger system is installed and tuned for our elevation what happens when I drive down to sea level, which happens a couple of times a year? As elevation decreases the car would be running leaner and leaner. Will it have the ability to reprogram its self?

If the car is tuned correctly with the 02 sensors still set to go into Closed Loop operation including Long Term Fuel Trims the PCM will compensate by adding fuel during part throttle driving and if the LTFTs are positive(near sea level) and then you go WOT it will add that positive percentage of fuel to the already dialed in settings from your "tuned" altitude. Shouldn't be a problem for you.

For normally aspirated applications, everyone says the LS2 intake manifold is a poor design. However, in this thread I have read that replacing the LS2 intake manifold on a supercharged application doesn't give much, if any, benefit. Why is it that the LS2 intake manifold doesn't hinder the performance in a supercharged application?

Because "Forced Induction" overcomes intake inefficiencies. I've ran 144mph in the 1/4 mile with stock T/B, stock intake, stock heads with a T-trim, cam, headers, and meth.

i just purchased a C5 zo6 black out supercharger kit that was bolted on a car, tuned and the car got rear ended and was totalled.

The car i intend to put this supercharger on is a 2005 C6.
Will the C5 zo6 brackets, intercooler and everything else work on my Corvette or will I need to purchase the c6 brackets off of A&A site?

thanks for the information !

Default c5 zo6 A & A kit in C6

I just purchased a slightly used A & A supercharger blacked out kit.
The kit was bolted on a c5 Zo6, tuned and the car got rear ended.

I purchased this from a gentlemen needing some money in an unfortunate time.

my questions is will this kit bolt on to an 05 C6 Z-51 car?
If not what all do i need to purchase additionally from A&A?
I have all
Brackets, belt, pulleys, a big bubba BOV i have.

Vortech V3 head unit.

Do i just need a new crank pin kit, a new oil feed line kit ?

some insite here would be fantastic!!!!

thanks in advance.

Josh

I have a stock 07 Z51 with an A&A Si kit and stock 3.8 pulley. I'm really happy with the way the car runs. But what would be my next one, two or three steps to increase power and minimizing multiple tunes. I have some ideals but would like to hear from you guys. Doing a little day dreaming. Thanks

First talk to your Tuner to see what power level they are comfortable pushing it to on pump gas. Then ask if they like to use Meth or E85.

-Add blower can & springs.
-Add AlkyControl Meth kit.
-Pulley and belt swap to 3.6"
-Tune it and gain another 80-100rwhp.

Rather than space down the radiator cradle, I think I am going to move down the brackets themselves.
Can anyone tell me exactly how much lower it gets moved down normally ?

Thanks Josh..

Just some info for anyone trying to use a C5 kit on a C6. I got such a deal on the kit I couldn't refuse.
I know I'm nuts but before changing my water pump or buying a C6 bracket I decided to try and use the C5 bracket with on my C6 with the stock pump.
It wasn't easy, and a bit nerve wracking, but it can be done. I figured worst come to worse I had to change the pump anyways, so we went at it with a grinder. With some grinding on the pump, and a little on the bracket, we got it to fit perfectly.

Nice mph. High boost for pump gas though, even 94.

In the instructions for the secondary drive it says that the power steering cooler will not be reused. Is there a reason for that. I am in the middle of an install and can not see why it is not just put back.

Because it's usually in the way of tubing exiting the blower and since it just gets hot air from the fan/radiator blown across it, it doesn't really cool anything, lol.

Hey Josh, remind me why Andy went with the NT01's instead of NT05R's on his blown C7 (isn't that his actual license plate BTW)?

And when does Andy get his C7Z?
