What do you recommend from there? Headers? One of your stage 1-4 cams? Also on the cams, what's a good one for a noticeable lope without hurting "drivability" or gas mileage?

Default Aftermarket cold air intake with A&A Corvette Suoercharger system

Is there any hp benefit to using an aftermarket cold air intake with my A&A V-3 Si kit (purchased new in 2014)?

At what hp level would the air filter assembly from the A&A V-3 Si kit become a restriction that could be improved upon?

Our SC air filter and dongle inlet work very well. I don't usually see a big benefit on power gains until you are pushing over 850rwhp like when using the big Ysi SC. Then you can make a custom 4" short inlet and see some gains past the 850rwhp level.

I was reading through the C7 section just now and someone said the A&A kits came with a new harmonic balancer.
I didn't do the install on my C6 so am wondering, did the kit they installed on my car last month also include a new harmonic balancer?

Hey Josh,

Just curious, what size fuel injectors come with your V3 Si trim kit with 3.8 pulley. This is for a 2008 Z51 Corvette that was installed in September of 2014 at A&A Corvettes. I thought I heard #62, then in a past post Andy mention 80#. Who is the manufacturer of the injectors?

BTW: The car is running strong!

Thanks.

Only the C7 kits come standard with a new IW balancer.
Typically a C5 or C6 just gets the crank pinned during install, unless the balancer needs to be replaced at that time.

Your kit came with the FIC billet tipped 80# @ 3 BAR fuel pressure.

Default supercharged and codes..?

I hope Im posting in the right forum..:

My husband and I are looking at this 1998 C5 with mods for sale 76K miles $16,500.

We did test drive the vette it was was awesome!...the codes that did not clear and are C Current are:

B0361 HVAC
B0441 HVAC the AC was not working properly

RFA C2120 (tire monitor system)

PCM 0748 (Pres. Control Solenoid) ?

This last one kinda worries me because the transm. shifted HARD from 1st to Second and the Dealership is saying that its because of the High performance kit and mods..it sets the code off but its nothing and that's normal.

What do YOU think?

Are all of those codes expensive and big deal to fix?

Cheers

The transmission one would worry me the most but hopefully someone chimes in that knows more about autos than me

The C2120 is likely just a tire pressure sensor, not a big deal. The batteries die in the sensors every few years, they're fairly cheap to replace (~$50 for the sensor and have to remove the tire from the wheel to install)

I found this on the transmission one. Not sure if it helps or not.

Sorry just saw this. Trans might have issues or a really aggressive shift kit installed. I'm not a fan of buying used and modified C5s in the '97-'00 year range. My experienced advice is to keep looking and find a C5 from '01-'04 instead. Too many problems to list for the '97-'00 range, lol

Since our outside temperatures have increased I notice that sometimes after I attempt to start my car after a nice drive it takes longer to start. Almost sounds liked a minor case of vapor lock.
Thoughts?

On LS3/LS7 cars with the bigger 80# injectors that come in the kit, you probably just need the tune adjusted in the "start-up" settings to help it fire up quicker.

Thanks, I stopped in at the shop today and the mechanic who installed the SC thought it might be a little rich at start up he adjusted the tune a little to add more air. Will give it a few days and see what the results are. Appreciate the advice.

Ive been following this and reading a couple pages, but I really dont want to read 29 pages to find the answer.

How is routine maintenance affected with this kit? I.E. Oil changes, belts, filters, water pumps, etc etc...

Just got a 2010 M6 Grand Sport.. Coming from a 2012 Mustang 5.0 Supercharged, I need something to wake this baby up like i did the stang... But if routine maintenance becomes a pain, I may go with a TVS setup..

Thanks!

- Nick
