I'd run the newer pistons style Turbosmart Big Bubba 52mm BOV like we use now. There is no o-ring to blow out and it's a teflon coated piston. Works really well.

Is that a direct swap or do I have to change the flange on the pipe ?

It depends. If you have the style alum tube with a 2" nipple that has a hose going to the 2" inlet flange you could just get the new T/S unit from me with the same style 2" inlet flange for slipping it into the hose.

Default 8 rib upgrade

Hey Josh, I'm thinking of getting the 8 rid upgrade kit you guys have and I have two questions.....first are the power steering and alternator pulleys sized different to compensate for the overdrive balancer? Secondly I, have an LS7 with the V3si head unit, how much boost can I get out of this unit and at what pulley combinations, I'd like to get 10-12 if possible and yes I have a forged bottom end...

Did my kit you shipped to JHR in January have the new style BOV?
BTW: Car runs great 599/532 on stock LS3 with headers.

No the p/s and alt are still stock diameter. The OD balancer doesn't speed them up very much.

You can shoot for max impeller speed and just see what it makes.
8" Lower and 3.8" upper with 7k rpm rev limiter puts you at max impeller speed of V3 Si

It has the new style Turbosmart 38mm, but not the big bubba 52mm.

So the balancer with your 8 rib kit is 8" then? What is max impeller speed for this head unit?

Yes our 8-rib balancer is 8".
V3 Si-trim is 52,000 rpm max recommended

Lower mount might be the best thing to do.
What you should do is run a low mount alt where the a/c compressor would have been and let the 4-rib part of your balancer run it. Or do that and get my bracket in 10-rib version and a IW balancer with 6-rib on a/c and 10-rib on main drive. Here is a link to the low mount setup.
http://www.aeicnc.com/lsx-super-mini...or-kit-rh.html
Then you could run the same short length belt like when it's using a 2nd drive and you could max out that Ysi without any belt issues.

A vendor made me a low mount alternator bracket that runs the alternator off the rear 4 rib, blower will be on a dedicated 8 rib (like with secondary drive). I'm keeping AC so this is rasa trials what you recommended but on the opposite side. I will post some pics when I get everything mocked up

If it's a new kit from us it will include new spark plugs. NGK TR6 #4177
The new kit will have everything you need for install. Just get it Computer Tuned after install.

Yep... You know my thoughts on the A&A kit. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Josh - I have my C7 on order, so I'll be calling to talk about a new kit pretty soon.

I have the V3Si on my 2010 LS3 A6 Grand Sport with a 3.8 pulley. My mods are Kooks LT headers, Kooks catted mid pipe, Corsa sport exhaust, and an A&A Stage 3 blower cam (228/236). I am seeing 8 lbs of boost at peak RPM. I am considering running a smaller pulley to get my 1/4 mile trap speed up from 125 mph to 130+. My car dynoed 525 whp on a mustang dyno and 618 whp on a dynojet. The tuner says this cam is lazy on the bottom end and I would benefit tremendously from a torque converter. I cannot 60' better than a 1.9.

Do I need to put the stock cam back in to lower my 60' time or is it in the tuning? (not really wanting a tq converter) What RWHP level do I need to be at to trap 130? and last question, How much boost can I run on these injectors that come with the kit before I run out of fuel?

Just put a nice stall in it and shave that 60ft down to a 1.55 and knock .5 off your 1/4 mile. That won't even require anymore power or upping the boost. Get a 3600 stall and never look back. The stock converter is holding you back from a great 60ft right now.
