Default Putting a blower on need tire advice...

So I am brand new to vette's and came from the import world. I figure the car should be making 600rwhp after the blower is put on and I have a super bald set of 305/30/19 tires on the car as of right now, my question is even with brand new rubber doing 40 mph rolls in second gear with 600rwhp is it going to be spin city? Should I invest in a different wheel and tire combo? I won't be doing any racing at the strip but I don't want to waste money on tires that aren't going to hook. Kinda looking for some advice from people that have that ball park of power.

I dumped my 325/30/19 G.Y-R.F after adding 100 rwhp to my z06. I went with 345/30/19 mich.PSC non,R.F they were supposed to be extremely sticky but they will break loose even in 3rd. Trouble with track tires is speed rating.

So I guess I'm out of luck and it's going to be spin city. I don't really feel like getting another set of rear wheels and tires just to go to car meets.

I just picked my car up from ECS with their "mild" kit. I'm 560 at the wheels and run a Invo 305. Little or no real traction with this tire. I really have to ease into the gas or the tires spin. I LOVE IT!

I'm going with a 325/30/19. I'm just not sure which one yet. Not too many "race" tires in that size.

600rwhp, you better be thinking Meth. I have New nitto Invo's 345's and they spin thru 4th. ECS kit at 680rwhp. For traction go with the Nitto nt05r's

I wish they had it in a 325/30/19. I think the 335 will rub.

I S/C's my 12 GS in Nov, 594rwhp/593rwtq ECS kit (there is a big diff between other kits ), Im on stock GY tires. Under these low temps here in NY, 3rd gear @60 tires are spinning like off the line... 4th @70, Spinning.....

For the fun you are looking for, get H&C and gears.... (roll from 40), otherwise you'll need to bait them from 60 with some nice stickies .....been there, done that

I see what you are saying. That was going to be my route honestly. My car already has a cam, kooks headers and magma flow exhaust with an intake but I bought this used blower kit off a local guy. Was aiming for some really good power and never really doing anything else to the car as I figured 600 whp would be fast enough. I'm not much into drag racing and I'm getting turned off of the street racing anymore, just hate spending the money, dangerous, don't want to do jail time and already was busted for it a couple years back even though it got dropped off. My initial plan was going to be tea ported 243 heads and maybe a fast manifold to hit that 500whp na. Maybe I will sell the blower....

Nitto's run smaller than GY's
Nitto 345's equal to GY's 325
I just saw the only 19" nt 05r is a 345-30-19

Getting my ECS SC1500 kit install at the moment which should pump out 550 at the wheels. After doing some homework and looking at Tire Rack survey's and ratings, I order 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the 265/305 combo for my narrow bodied 08 LS3.

That's exactly what I had..... 08 C6 LS3, cam/cnc'd heads, 3.90 gears, lg headers, npp exhaust, car dyno'd 525/490. Ran 10.8x@132mph....... killed everyone from a 40~60 roll.... h/c w/gears is a street killer!

I have a 342 RPM rear. At 550 RWHP Nitto NTO5's would hook in 2nd. At 680 RWHP I had to go wide body and 18" rims with MT 345's. The MT's hook in 2nd when it is warm.
