Can you guys chime in on what motor oil you have gone to now that you have supercharged your LS3 motor. I am running the 599 HP Edelbrock kit and I've heard some rumblings that Mobil 1 does not have the zinc and phophorus levels I should use for good protection of the motor. Appreciate the info guys.

Shell rotella T-6 5/40 full synth or joe Gibbs LS-30 should do the job just fine, mobil1 is crap in my opinion..

All Mobil 1 versions are not the same. Many different viscosities and additive packages are available if you think you need more (or less) of something.

This is just not the best forum to address your question I think....try Bob is the Oil Guy (yes it's a forum) where true tribologists dwell. I researched this topic extensively there and came up with several excellent choices based on real EOA's.
