Default Idler pulley question..

I want to change the idler pulley on my LS2 for a 90mm one. Does anyone know a part number or vender for a 90mm that fits ? 6 rib if that matters.

Thanks.

Are you shooting for a little more wrap on the SC?

http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/charts/y.body.supercharger.kit.htm

The very bottom of the page... its a double bearing idler which is intended for a 10 rib, but will work with an 8-6 rib as well. Part number is 916208

Hmm. Might look into this for me as well. Thanks.

Yeah. I want to go down a size in blower pulley. While speaking to the Edelbrock engineer at SEMA about what is the maximum speed these blowers can turn, he told me to that the 90mm idler will help prevent slip.

Thanks. That is the only one I have found to date. I would use that as last resort but hope to find a 6 rib, or even a smooth one like stock. The Edelbrock Engineer told me he has done this on his car, with a Ford pulley, but couldn't remember from what application.

The ATI 90mm one is smooth. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ati-916208/overview/

They also have a 100mm one.

I'll call ATI tomorrow. In the picture on the site it looks ribbed. If it smooth is should do it for me.

Metco Motorsports has what you need. Check them out. They have many different options.

Thanks guys. Ordered the ATI unit from Summit. Metco makes nice stuff but doesn't have a listing for an LS pulley so it got complicated quick when I spoke with them.

I will install this with the 2.75 pulley and let you know how it turns out.

Nothing exciting going on with my car this winter so I'll update this little fix.

No rush to install this since its winter here. Today I had nothing to do so into the garage I went.
The ATI idler is a nice piece, but of course, like every little mod I do, a small bump in the road. The bolt from the stock idler is too short. No big deal, I just have to go looking for one this week.
The 90 mm pulley is a very tight fit. No way a 100 mm would work. Its so close I had to move the hose clamp on the upper rad hose as it was touching. Once I get a bolt and finish I'll post a pic.

You know Edelbrock has a new tensioner kit for better wrap and increased force on the belt. I was experiencing belt slip and this is their fix. It also comes with a new bracket to aid belt wrap as well and a new correct size bolt.

I have that upgrade since the summer. It is not the tensioner pulley I am changing, but the idler pulley between the tensioner and supercharger pulleys. Once its installed I will post pics.
On left is the new idler pulley and right is the 2 3/4 eforce pulley that are going on.

OH man score! Can't wait to hear how it does. I'm considering pulley down, but have been told that would require new injectors and tune. Not in the budget right now. Please post how it does. Good luck.

Finally found time to get the right bolt and install this pulley. Its a super tight fit but definitely gives a little more belt wrap on the SC pulley. I have no clue if that little extra wrap will make a difference, but I am trusting that the Edelbrock guy at SEMA was right. Of course, a simple job still not completed as now the belt is too short. I will deal with that this week. Its a good thing I have until spring since its taken me 3 weeks just s swap the pulleys.
