Default 05 Z51 with 100hp wet shot

Found a wet ZEX nitrous kit for LS engines. ZEX#82235-B 75-175hp wet kit.
It has the automatic fuel enrichment control and the electronic TPS switch for wide open throttle activation. I'm in the process of ordering this kit. All I want to spay is a 100hp shot. Is this a good kit? Can the LS2 run a 100 shot reliable with stock tune and 100% stock car? I read somewhere that the composite intakes on the LS engines don't handle wet kits that well. The car is completely stock. Thanks

i dont have no experience with zex, i perfer nitrous outlet myself. but atm i running a 100 shot with a wet kit on a ls3 with headers only on stock tune. run good fuel. 93 and step the plugs up to a colder plug. i run a tr6 on a 100 hit. anything above that br7ef. NGK. Get up with Bobby at kentucky speed hes a sponsor on here. he can get u hooked up the what u need. u will need a window switch. thats a must with nitrous. but i see no issue running a 100 hit. alway tho make a hit and check ur plugs usally 5 or 7 hole is the hottest thats what u want to check. if they look good. u will be fine. plenty of sites show how to read a plug for nitrous. thats something u need to learn too.

my car is a ls3 auto. all my experience is with ls3 . i had a camaro on a 150 hit for a few years.

100 wet shot is no big deal to an LS motor. I ran a 100 shot untuned on my LS1 with no issues and some great times. Make sure you go 1 step colder on the plugs. If you get into the 150 area, make sure its tuned first. It tends to get very rich on a stock tune at that point.

Thanks! All sounds good then. I'll be running the car at my local drag strip soon. Anxious to see how effective a 100 shot will be in the 1/4 mile with street tires. Can't wait for it to arrive!

i got to run a buddy thta has the same car as me. his mods, new 305 et streets, intake tune and full exhaust. my mods headers , 100 shot on runflats. he jumps about 5 cars out on me pretty quick. but about 330 mark i start to pull on him pretty good. around 800' or so i scream by him. putting about 3 or 4 cars on him. this was a unprepped surface. i never heated my bottle either as it was kinda out of the blue he wanted to see how he could do and i didnt have much time. i def makes a big difference lol.

That is a good bit difference lol. The kit should be in on the 18th. The plugs I need to run are NGK TR6? What is the best place to drill to mount the bottle?

some ppl say to run the br7ef as its a little safer plug. which is true but ive never had a problem with the tr6 on a 100 hit. lots of my buddies run that plug to. i mounted my bottle right behind my passanger seat . made a plate that went under the carpet . not alot of options on bottle mounting on the c6 i could find.

Can you post a picture of your bottle and brackets? Another thing is that in my instructions its saying to tap the nitrous/fuel nozzle after the MAF or between the MAF and throttle body. This is pretty much impossible on LS2 unless I had a plate spacer or something which this kit doesn't have. So is it safe to tap the nozzle before the MAF? Also are you running you nitrous line inside under your carpet or outside under the car? I know its safer out of the cab but id rather run it under the carpet and through the fire wall. Thanks

Dead center as far back as possible, drop the mufflers then take the bolts out of the heat shield. drop shield, now you can drill and nut and bolt the brackets, replace shield and mufflers, you can just drop muffler hanger brackets and still drop shield

Is it safe to tap the nozzle into the stock rubber bellow after the MAF sensor? Doesn't seem like a smart idea. Where are you guys putting ur nozzles on stock LS engines with the rubber style accordion bellows?

Give William Hood a call at compcams whom sorted me out of the years with Zex sytems and jetting from nozzels to TB rings on my 102mm they have plugs and everything you need, see my album for pictures please.

Good luck and take it easy at low rpm of the line with street tires...

Are your solenoids the individual one or the one that are in the little purple box. If they are the one in the box where did you mount the solenoids at. And could you add a pic

Check my albums, picures there and I have the 250hp race kit and not the box have added the power ring for the current 200hp shot jetting for safety sake

I have the ZEX rapid fire with red LED's inside the side vents in the front fenders, looks and sounds really cool at a traffic light on a night run and then some fun!

I went through the fire wall on the passenger side. They have a rubber grommet Where the wiring harness is routed through.
