Better rear brake for 15" wheels?
Looking to improve the rear brake after the LG spindles and 15" Weld RT-S wheels. The base c6 rear brakes is not strong enough and I'm looking for more powered brakes with 4 pistons for example... something like below from wildwood
I need to be able to stop the car from the line at drag strip,,, right now with 2000RPM,,, the car went 6.1@122mph in 1/8 mile

Tried a better pad? Not strong enough for what? I'm looking at brake setups that fit the 15" wheels right now and leaning towards some stop tech slotted rotors and good pads.

I know it's kind of apples to oranges but on my trans am I had Bear cross drilled and slotted eradi-speed rotors and hawk pads and it would stop on a dime.

What calipers you are using with the 15" wheels?
Up to this moment, I did not find any 4 pistons calipers that will fit in the rears...only the base c6 rears that sill fit this combo.
I was searching as well for dual calipers setup... but it seems it cannot fit into c6 vettes...
The idea is.. to prevent the car from moving forward the light while you are launching it with high RPM possible (foot brake) ...of course high stall tc is needed.

I m installing next week set of new carbotech pads front and rears and we will see... meanwhile.. I am still searching for 4 piston calipers that will fit the rear 15" wheels.

Both of those lose the parking brake, not sure if that is an issue.
In this case you are looking for something to hold the car at the line when footbraking off a converter, not stopping power. Not sure what options you have besides maybe the strange or baer setup posted above.

Its not about a specific brake manufacturer. I posted the pics for ideas, adding a second factory caliper would be the easiest solution.
A lot of turbo guys run two calipers in the rear, which allows them to build boost on the line without pushing the car through the beams.

Yeah this is most the people do but not on corvettes c6/c5,,,,
the dual calipers, got information from one of the guys said: you really cant put a dual caliper setup on a corvette because the toe rod it right in the place that the second caliper would need to be. He said you cant move the calipers up or down because you wont be able to bleed the air out of the system.
So, I'm looking for anyone who actually was able to fit an upgraded brake/calipers to the rear with 15" wheels on c6 corvette.
Strange brake company, replied to me and they said they don't have any upgrade for my application

I could come up with a four pot to fit a stock 12" rear rotor I suspect. Part of the issue however will be a huge increase in rear bias as well as the long soft pedal feel it will exhibit.

Ok, that makes sense. I remember back in the day the restricted class turbo Buick guys used to install a GM truck slave cylinder in the rear drum assembly to lock the rear wheels to build max boost off the line by loading the motor. But it's hard to lock up a disc brake like you can a drum. Maybe you just have to try a looser converter that allows you to foot brake it to a higher RPM? Would really like to see what that beast of yours can do....
