wish they offered a transmission step up ratio upgrade with this wheel... then I'd be interested.

Just a wheel swap. You use the same housing and everything. Externally you would never know the difference.

From what I'm told, no and they may not be offered at all. Testing did not go well. The normal wheel out performed them.

2000 vs a billet ysi? Ysi has been out for 10+ years. Gear box is the same, which is what causes the noise, so not sure what you wanted to see.

I have been following this but figured there would be a lot of testing before they actually go in production mode. Vortech just want to make sure you gets your $ worth...

This car may have had a YSI in the vid but it has an X now I believe.
Yes, Alan, your edit is correct. It was a YSI and now has an X.

We just received the first 2200R with the billet wheel late last week. We should be testing late this week into next.

Just from looking at it, I cant see it not making more power frankly. Time will tell though.

Hopefully it does well. I had a few PMs from people saying the results were not good at all. These are people I trust so hopefully it was just those combos or something.

Either way, I'm not interested in it. My car makes too much power as is.

Ahahaha. I did put a smaller belt on my Ysi and my tensioner broke. The hole for the wrench, bottom piece just snapped out so now I can't use a wrench to open the tensioner. Ohh well, only an issue if I need to put a new belt on. Got a 54" ten rib on and it is tight as hell.

I too had been told they scrapped the ysi billet wheel project because of some dissapointing test results. Very curious what you find Doug!

Any updates DOUG@ECS? My setup has been a little slow going as far as break in on motor. I wouldn't have anything to compare to anyways since I never ran the ysi with the non billet impeller. I also did not receive my stock impeller back from vortech when billet one was installed.? ! It was a brand new head unit, never ran, when I sent it to them.
