Saw the pics--damage didn't look too bad, hopefully. Looked mainly like some cosmetic + intercooler? Hopefully it's not too much more than that

Glad you and the car are alright. Looked wild. How did you incorporate the TCS? Driveshaft speed vs wheel speed?

Thanks.

Thanks! Wheel speeds all corners vs GPS vs diff speed vs gear speeds vs engine rpm I think. This is not my best area.

Glad you are safe,,, so what is the proper way to use and release the chute? I'm not expert but willing to listen from the guys who are using it! since I just installed one, I'm afraid of using it now

Deploy chute before letting off gas to make sure it opens and then get on the brakes. You see a lot of drag racers deploy them even before the finish line cause it doesn't fully open for a decent distance etc,,,

So what is the consequences if the chute deployed while you are braking? what if you jus let off the gas and release the chute?
Thanks.

Much greater risk of upsetting the car.. Rear end is already light from letting off and/or getting on the brakes, then the chute hits and makes it worse. (especially true if the tether point is wrong)

Bonneville guys drilled into me to "drive into the chute".. Full power until chute is inflated, then roll out of the gas.

On a side note.. I have seen a couple videos recently of guys searching for the chute handle at the end of the run causing problems.. Chute handle should be in peripheral and easy to find without thinking about it.

What he said. Weight transfer and also slower chute deployment. Seen them pick the rear of the cars off the ground before. Like he said the attachment point is pretty important due to how and where it applies the force. Not rocket science, but there has to be some serious thought put into it depending on what type of speeds your doing as well. I'm not an expert and never had a chute on any of MY cars. But I've been around a ton that have and its one of the things I asked questions about a long time ago lol! Good thing to do if your going to be installing one yourself for sure. GL!

Car looks pretty empty again. First I'll build full Texas mile acceptable +225mph roll cage, then tubular front end get more space for turbos.
lets see what happens..
Transmission case should be ready in two weeks as well!!
