I'm waiting for results. Before doing a custom shroud/pain of wiring/etc I want to see it really works better.

Already talked to my fab shop about making a shroud/mounts. That isn't an issue. I just want to make sure this will fix the issue. I think adding a few pushers to the front of the a/c will work better than this but if it makes a huge difference then maybe I'll go this route.

Pushers might work!! I've never seen anyone or had mine get
Hot on a dyno when they have a big fan in front of my car.
If a pusher it would need to be low amps as well if you already have extra accessories ( fuel pumps, oil pumps, amps etc.)

As do I!

I am in the Keys for Lobster season but when I get back it should be ready to go, at which point I will have to put some miles on and see how it reacts.

I got a high amp alternator so not concerned with extra amperage from 1 more fan.

I wonder how hard it would be to fully enclose it by making a shroud

Its basically a stand alone piece. Only thing connected to the car is thr power basically. It has its own tempature guage, which works with the built in control module in the fan. They had it on off the car and it really cranks.

So what are the results? What is the program strategy on it? When does it turn on/off or ramp?

Did you order it from dewitts? Price? I may order one today. Looks like cake to install and worst case I have a fab shop.

Haven't driven the car yet, I hope to post up atleast an inital review next week.
I believe it starts up when you turn on the car, self adjusts and then waits for the car to build tempature before cranking up. Ill know more details soon.
My local shop who I have worked with since the beginning, Powertech Performance, are the ones who contacted Tom about this after I inquired about the new setup. It is my understanding that this is the first vette other than the c7 to get the fan. Im sure you could contact Tom @Dewitt and he could give you more details, but it is more coin than the current dual setups.

Fitment looks good...Definetly may be a good option for those of us with big blowers and no room for the new dual 12" brushless spals..

I've had thoughts of trying to install a 93-98 Lincoln MKVIII fan on my C5Z.... Its really way too big but... It blows the regular dual spals away... I run it on my 71' and it never goes over 188* with the AC on, on a 95* day... This is on an iron headed BBC in a tight engine compartment..

Sub'd for the results of this fan...
