Nothing has changed since the last sensor, when it was reading 58 psi.
Would not surprise me if it would hold pressure over night.

Aeroforce is sending me a new sensor. I also have an AEM fp sensor coming as well.
Im hoping its just the sensor. Aeroforce tech support said they have never experienced that, but it is possible.

I have the fuel pressure gauge which I will connect today to the rail to see what its reading.

Got the new aeroforce sensor in. Soldered the resistor inline per instructions.
Reading 62.5 to 63.2 at idle. Is that too high?

I have the Aem sensor here, but not sure if I should install it and it see if its reading different.
I don't have a fuel pressure gauge to read right off the fuel rail at this time.

So is this fp ok?

That's exactly what mine reads. I never checked against another gauge but I assume it's right or close enough. It goes up to 72 when my second pump kicks in so I know it's working.

Realcanuk, thats very interesting. I really need to get a manual gauge on the rail to see whats the actual pressure.
Everything I read indicates the fuel pressure should be around 58 psi.

Anyone have any suggestions for a manual fuel pressure gauge?

Would this suffice :

Maybe next time I am at the shop I will have my guy check with a manual gauge just to compare. I think the reading makes sense. Stock is supposed to be 58ish lbs, but with the racetronix harness giving a little bit stronger power, 62 wouldn't surprise me. I believe I read somewhere that the ECS stage 1 system would make about 72 lbs, and that is what my gauge shows when it kicks in.

Assuming it comes with the correct adaptor for our fuel rail Schrader port, then it should work just fine.

But for what it's worth, the Speedhut fuel pressure gauge in my old car always showed over 58 psi at idle. Usually about 62 psi like yours. I never hooked up my Snap On fuel mechanical gauge to verify it was 100% correct, so it's hard to say if it was accurate.

I also had the Racetronix harness on that car, and maybe that's the difference. I haven't actually mounted my Aeroforce fuel pressure sensor, so I can't tell you what it reads on my GS. I'll make sure to hook up my mechanical gauge to test it first, though.

Just to be on the safe side, I will hook a mechanical gauge to it to see what its reading.

Im running the stock fuel system, so it should be around 58 psi.

Ill order the mechanical gauge from amazon and then test it. I will have to wait till I get back from a business trip.

Unless my old gauge was inaccurate, my '08 ran at over 58 psi at idle and cruise.

Hey guys, with the new AEM fuel pressure sensor, there is no formula included.

All i got is this: http://aemelectronics.com/files/inst...e%20Sensor.pdf

What formula am I supposed to use? Or do I just create one to match the stated output it should be per voltage indicated in the instructions?

What sensor did you buy? AEM offers quite a few choices.

Guess that would help. The aem 150 psi fp sensor.

Well, they make a few options. Brass vs. stainless, PSIg vs. PSIa, etc. I'm guessing you got part number 30-2130-150. If so, here's what you need:

Thanks streetk14, thats exactly what I was looking for.
My aeroforce sensor just stopped working again last night. Time to figure out what happened. Hoping its just a wire got loose, but I doubt it since everything was soldered. I am guessing its just a crappy sensor. I was trying to hold of on using the AEM sensor and just return it.

Well finally hooked up the mechanical gauge to the rail, and its reading 63 to 64 psi at idle. So the sensor is working correctly.

Not sure if I should worry about this fuel pressure reading at this point. My understanding is it should be around 58 psi.

My first sensor I had did read around 58 psi, but I was also running it off a 12 volt power source instead of a 5 volt power source, so not sure if that would of altered its accuracy and or the reading.

I barely drive the car, since I travel so much for work. Any ideas or suggestions. I see a few of you have mentioned your cars always showed higher fuel pressure, so is there an acceptable range for the fuel pressure???

I get 62-64 so I guess its pretty normal. As mentioned, the racetronix harness supplies slightly better power so that might account for the few lbs increase.

It is what it is. I'm sure there is a tolerance on it. If the car is running fine, and fuel trims are good, don't worry.

I have a stranger issue if anyone has ideas. Don't mean to hijack the thread but since talking fuel pressure......

My pressure reads 62-64 normally on both my aeroforce gauge and in HPT. My issue is that when my second pump kicks in under boost, it reads 72 on my aeroforce, which is dead on what it should, but in HPT it goes down instead of up. I have checked the settings 1000 times and they are correct.
Any thoughts ?

Unreal, how would I check the fuel trims? With something like an HP tuner? I wouldn't mind double checking just to make sure everything is ok.
