I have been tuning these car for years. I specialize in the 6L80E 6L90E cars.
I have tuned a few of these making 700+ and still living.
Trans is 100% Stock!
My old G8 went 10.55@134 Stock 6L80e with 40k on the clock with about 400-500 Lbs of nitrous ran through it and boosted for over 2 years now and the current owner is still beating on it.

We actually plan to take the car to the track Weds if weather holds.
I just took the car for a spin. This thing is still shifting at the commanded 6,500 rpms like a CHAMP!!!!! Gonna raise the shifts and do a few things for the track.

Seems to be the way the 6L80's go.
Some will take tons of power, and live forever just flying.
Others do the bad 2-3 flare shift, and hardly can make a shift stock.

I spoke with Shane when he made the move over to Craven earlier this year regarding his 9 second C6, not sure if this was the car he had sold? Either way, impressive results!!

Also doesn't help they opened up a fresh lane with no prep at all and we were the 2nd car to run in it.
I'll get it all lined out don't worry i trapped 134+ in a 3900 LB G8 at 700RWHP

Maybe you could help me out ProCharger Tech I recently installed a PC D1 system on my 2006 Z06 with 13k miles on it, I had PC spec the system out to push 10psi but that didn't work turns out it only makes 7psi. Regardless I was expecting to make some pretty good power with this kit (after reading the adds) and the mods I already had, heads, cam, intake, TB, BAP, Long Tube, X-pipe, B&B, etc… The car was making 541rwhp before the D1 install and only hit 692rwhp after the install. Compared to other like cars with the same mods and different SC kits they all seem to put down well over 700rwhp…….so how is it that you are make 800rwhp with the same kit, less mod, less motor…..?? Any help or suggestions you might have would be great, Thanks

^^ The blower is maxed out with the pulley combo they are running making a larger amount of boost. If you want to run more power look into alky meth and a smaller pulley. I'm guessing your running the 4.75 blower pulley?
#35
It's a 4-1/4" pulley which ProCharger said would produce 10-12psi, I guess I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with what I have because it doesn't seem like they would miss sizing the pulley by that much and like I said the power they advertise on either like LS7's or "otherwise stock LS7's" seems like they are achieving more power. So yeah something doesn't add up.
#36
They just dont know how much air a worked over LS7 will eat up.
I have a D1 with a 4.25" pulley. Makes 12lbs of boost and 660 rwhp through an auto. Mine is on a stock LS2 with exhaust.
I would just add a DP bigmouth kit and a 4" pulley. That should shore up the biggest PC kit weakness and get you around the HP number you wanted.

Yeah thanks but I would hardly call an LS7 with 13k miles on it "worked over"…..missing the point I was making about what they advertise vs/ what they say and what they recommend. Obviously the ProCharger tech gets it, silence says it all.

Worked over to me means modified. Your H/C/I exhaust LS7 is gonna show less boost than my stock LS2, lest restrictive engine=less boost. Maybe your cam isnt so blower friendly, IDK. Its tough to know what power anything will make with the variance in dynos, weather, tuners, fuel quality. I know its frustrating not getting exactly what you wanted but its an easy fix from here.
