Ya Frank it does feel a little sluggish but once the boost comes on you forget about it.
We might turn it up a little this weekend and install an Eboost2 to bring the boost on a little sooner.
If I get bored this winter I'll be swapping the little 4.8 for a 6.0L to take care of the lag. My old setup was making 12lbs of boost by 3500 and this is only making 3-4lbs. It would be nice to not have to down shift to make some power.

I'd just up the boost on the 4.8 before I swapped another motor. No reason why you couldn't be reliable and in the teens(psi).

Cool setup...and yes, ditch the emblems lol.

Clean ride!

very cool, only 4.8 in a c6 i have seen yet. but the 4.8 & 5.3 are so cheap and strong they get jammed in everything here in houston constantly see these things making 750+ rwhp and living for a surprisingly long time. and yes several nearing 1000 hp and last at least a season. truly the only down fall to these motors in the weight, but that is also part of what makes it so desirable the cast iron blocks are so strong

The car is down for the season Needs a clutch and new hydraulics. I was trying to setup the eboost 2 and I had a 19lb boost spike. Spun the clutch right away. Time to order a McLeod rxt.

I found a really good deal on a 6.2 so I will be removing the little 4.8 over the winter.
Very excited to how it does with the 76/75. It's should spool up instantly

Custom made kit. Ls7 manifold on drivers side. Truck Manifold on passenger side. Merge to passenger side. It's made to work with ac so the piping is a little tricky going around the ac pump. The water pump had to modded to make room the turbo. 3 inch cooler pipes to the front mount. We had to use different fans to make it work. It's pretty tight compared to my old f body setups. This spring we are going to turn it up and make some real power. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Was thinking about selling it but I'm on the fence right now about building a big NA motor.
I daily drive it on nice days in the summer.

Eboost is easy once you figure out the number for your boost setting is not boost, but the number of pulses to achieve desired boost level. Sounds like you had a ton of **** barely working or on its last leg. GL with the new motor etc...

Eboost solenoid was bad. Need to order a new one. Buying stuff used can suck sometimes. Good deals are not always as good as they seem.

On a turbo build I put together a while back. I had to use a flexible lokar dipstick. It was also one of the universal 1/8npt end. I tapped the block. Engine was on a stand still. Tho. And coincidentally it was a gen 4 4.8 that's punching out 690rw thru a th400 and built 8.8 rear. On pure pump gas. Not even meth. Just a 100$ eBay fmic.
I love these motors. My rcsb is a turbo 4.8 dd also.
I'mshopping for a c6 now. And dropping in oone of a 4.8 I got laying around w a 7875 t series. If it pops no biggie. Id rather not blow up an ls3 or ls2 engine.

I m from the fbody world and theirs more than a few guys that make 800+rwhp on the stock bottom end. Another guy on ls1tech.com hit 918rwhp with no2 in his Silverado that towed his boat. Those little 4.8s can make huge power. Btw I love that you have a 4.8 in a c6! My bro keeps telling me that I m going be the first one to do this when I blow my ls3 bc I d be to cheap to fix it. Good to see another who thinks outside the box
