Default Am I the only turbo 4.8 C6 in the world. Lol

I Have not come across any other C6s with a 4.8. Let alone turbocharged.
Does anyone know of any other 4.8 turbo Vettes.
So I might have the fastest and most powerful turbo 4.8 C6 corvette In The WORLD lol

Looks like you have one of many 4.8 ls motors on an engine stand right now...

I thought the same thing. Opened it and asked myself
"Where is the c6?"

I don't know of any other 4.8 powered C6, but I am interested in your project.

It's up and running now. It's got a good street tune in it till we strap it on the dyno. Thanks Mr Nick Kemp from AGP for sorting out the tune. We were able to get a good solid idle even with the big turbo cam. The turbo is a precision gts 76-75 with the billet wheel. It's only making 8 lbs for now. Pretty happy with the power for only 8 lbs. planning to make somewhere around 550-600whp and maybe one day make a couple high boost pulls just to see if the little 4.8 can make 700whp. Right now I need to figure out what I'm doing with the dip stick. It's has been hacked up pretty good and it's puking oil on the down pipe. Might have to pull the entire right side of the kit off to replace the dipstick tube with one that seals.

Was that the largest turbo that would fit?

All the centri blower mounting location turbo setups seem to be relatively low hp, just curious if it's by design or space constraints

I could make more power once I drop the tanks for a dual pump setup. That's the limiting factor right now. The precision 76/75 can make some pretty good numbers once its cranked up. I'm a little cautious after blowing up the ls2 that was in it when I got it. The previous owner failed to disclose some details about the history of the engine and it came apart after only a couple 1000miles of buying it. Never buy a corvette from Jason Anthony from Naples Fl.

The kits is also meant to work with AC. Not many front mount kits are able to retain AC. All I need is to make up a custom ac line.

You can fit a big turbo if you move enough **** around.

My buddy hit over 800rwhp through a 4L65E with that turbo on a 4.8 and a 50 shot of nitrous. I think he used an LS9 cam. Power curve looked like a Supra, lol. It was around 760rwhp with no nitrous and I think 17psi. It's been a bit since he did it.

Thats what I like to hear. Big numbers with an Auto. Do you know how high he revved it and whether it was a gen 3 or gen 4 motor ?

Well not to be a Debbie downer, I wouldn't do that lol! But I believe your right about the 4.8 thing in a C6. I just don't see the point they will break just like any other STOCK motor. GL! I hope it makes as much as your wanting though.

Good day on the dyno today. The little 4.8 made just shy of 600whp on only 10-11lbs of boost. Very happy with the results especially since it's the hottest days of the year here in Ontario.
No meth and only 14.5 degrees of timing

Interesting build and good number. What's the weight savings over the LS?

Sure would like to see the dyno.

I only put the 4.8l in because the ls2 took out a lifter and cam. The 4.8 was like new and almost free.
I was thinking about just running this engine until winter then swap it for an iron 6.0L. But it's performed today so she will stay in it now.
