Good cam for an Daily Driven LS3 M6 ECS SC1500 car?

That cam has -4 degrees of overlap. It should be tame, but it should be noticed that a good tuner is part of the equation.

I'd be a little concerned with the high lift. If you don't mind changing valve springs every now and then, it might not be an issue for you. Your valve train might be a little noisy too. Again, you might actually like a little extra valve train music.

It is hard to find lobes with much lower lift. The 1.8 rockers take all the 610-620 lift cams and put them in the 640-650 range. My 230/246 LXL is a 648 650 lift but only because of the 1.8 rockers.

Yes, I was concerned about the high lift also, but the shop doing the work assures me there will be no spring(they seem to be very proud of thier springs) or valve train issues. It is always good to have a second opinion. Any opinions on power delivery? The car is a 2010 grand sport 6 speed manuel shift ragtop. w/heartbeat, 1 7/8 exhaust, and 3 in x pipe and head work and reducing the standard pulley by one size.
Thanks

If you do use that pulley, save yourself (and your tuner) some aggrivation and get the smallest Goodyear Gatorback belt that will fit. I had quite a bit of belt slip with a regular serp belt. The Gatorback doesn't stretch much and has a crosshatch pattern cut into the contact/load bearing side of the belt. It cured the belt slip issue for me.
Send me a PM if you're interested in the size. I can look it up for you.

I run 1.8 rockers but had the cam spec'd taking that into account. With those rockers its 226/246 .619/ .637 119+3.
Obviously this is spec'd to my setup, but I think you would be hard pressed to find a cam working better. Power everywhere from idle, right to redline.

You have a few more cubes though. That makes a lot of difference speccing a cam. Your cam still wouldn't be a bad actor in an LS3. It just wouldn't be as smooth as it is in your bigger motor.

The point I am making is having one spec'd for your setup is the way to go. Every car and every owner is different, and wants different things out of it.

Use the stock one until it goes **** up. I've had good luck with the ZR1 clutch, but others haven't. The best and greatest clutch seems to change on an almost daily basis. When it goes out, do your research and make a choice. No sense in worrying about it now.

ECS Small Blower Cam would be perfect. I have one in my C6, which is my only car. The cam is mild, has stock drivability, and my car picked up 41whp with it. Sometimes I wish it loped a little more, but you can't beat the power and manners of the cam.
