Boost-a-pump install question.
#1
I'm not sure exactly which wire I need to tap into for the boost a pump install. Most of the instructions say it's in the drivers side rear wheel well but some say it's near the battery. Which coupler is it. From what I've read it's the large grey wire on the coupler with the blue tape Can anyone confirm this. Thanks in advance

I would suggest using the Racetronix harness. http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.a...WH-008&eq=&Tp=
Looks like I'll be installing it in the drivers side rear wheel well.

Off the top of my head I believe it is the blue tape one, but do not quote me not at the shop... There is only one large grey wire in all of the bundles that is it.. Remember fuse end of the BAP goes AWAY from the fuse box itself... If you have it backwards you'll find out when you go to fire it up

I wouldn't install a BAP without the Racetronix harness, but that's just me.
It still installs in the left rear wheel area, just takes the load off the factory wiring and means you don't need to cut the harness.

Stop. Take a deep breath and do it right. I'm guessing the vast majority of BAP troubles stem from a poor wiring job. The Racetronix harness is tried and true and also plug and play. I'm guessing you know what happens when your BAP quits working and you don't catch it immediately.

Was it ever a simple installation. It might have taken 30 minutes start to finish.
I still plan on getting the racetronix wire harness to give the pump a little extra power.
Time did not allow for me to wait for it. Everything takes much longer to get here in Canada Eh.
Anyone worried about doing this should not think twice about doing it yourself.

I had to overnight a racetronix harness when I did my install. Totally worth it.
When you do order the harness be sure to order another connector to crimp onto the boost a pump wires so its a plug n play install. I didnt order a second plug and had to solder my boost a pump to the racetronix harness. Not a big deal but not necessary if you get a second connector.

I totally agree as I paid the price for not having one on original install.

Just a word of advise after installing my BAP I fried my fuel pump relay, then started blowing fuses, which then turned into my relay/fuse box plug #2 pin charred and it would run like cramp and its all from the relay over heating, I swear the relay would get so hot from current overdraw it would drop the coil out and shut the car off going down the road, it also faulted mt Active Handling System…..I mean way more than you could imagine ok!! I ordered the racetronic harness overnight and had it installed in two hours, put a new relay in for good measure and boom up and running with none of the other issues that it brought. So just wanted to mention that to you for what its worth so maybe it would save you some headache man.
