Default centrifugal charger with 317 heads ?

Anyone have any experience with running stock 317 heads with "in my case" an F1r procharger?
I know the 317 are good for turbo chargers but I was recently told from an experienced head expert that said seemed to think the 317 is garbage for blower cars like mine.

My understanding was 317 heads really only helped stock short block builds by lowering compression with a larger chamber. If the motor is built or has the correct compression there is no benefit other than low cost maybe. LSA heads are the best stock casting for the money, or go aftermarket.
