We have had it together for about two months. We have already put 25-30 passes even 5-10 of those being 1/4 mile. We will start enjoying it more as a cruiser once it gets painted.

wow , i was told the plans were pulled for the tf260 ls7 head directly from t.e.a. They said a well ported ls7 head would be my only option . Good news though . So you have stainless valves. With the right valve and valve job the tfgenx 255 head i ran on my gs was nasty and flowed the same as ls7 heads with 25cc more runner . Port velosity equals acceleration

That's a nasty time slip not only for A6,, well combo put together! congrats...
Any massive weight reduction or nitrous being used?

I put less than that with F2 (6.1@122mph) in my initial passes but cannot wait for drag strips to open and test again with final tune...

I'm in for some 1/4th passes

So what did it run in the 1/4? What is the converter flashing to?

Your 1/8 mile slip is identical to mine...(although I had much better DA)

That's about a 9:30 run . I ran 5:85 in 1/8 on two stages and ran 9:25 in 1/4 . On one stage I averaged 9:92 but I had manual . Maybe faster than me since he has an auto and I was spraying in the heat of summer . It was a challenge . He isn't even leaning on it or worked the chassis . I see a 8 second pass my friend . Use boost control and let it eat . If it's running that good don't change the heads or motor in reference to you maybe trying tf260 ls7 heads. Work the tune , boost and chassis . You will go deep in the 8s

^^^^^^ I like this post^^^^^^^^^^. Been debating if I should swap the 6l80 but I really don't want to. I have similar hp numbers at 780 hp and a 1/4 at 9.43 with someone else driving.

Default tune

Would you say u on a Conservative tune....I would think with the bigger cubes n compressor you HP would be higher...but to say the least its still IMPRESSIVE. Got me thinking of going Auto just don't know how much fun it would be.

Dynoing through an unlocked converter is not gonna show power... He would be making close to 1k if it was a stick..

Autos are for racing
Sticks are for Dyno Queen shootouts.

Do you watch pro stock ? Ever heard of BRAD BRAND ? I wouldn't say a stick isn't for racing . The liberty clutchless 5 spd is a mean piece

Which is far different than a 6 speed in the vette. Not even worth comparing.

The last time we ran at 1/4 it ran a 9.42@146 with a 6.08 1/8@118. I think it will go 9.2's on the same tune up that's in it. When we swap to full race gas and pull air filter I think a 8.99 is possible. And backing it up.

We want to be the first 8 second 6l80 car.

like to hear more about the tranny build, costs, and programming.

I just got a 6L80E from a c6 and and interested in getting it prepped for a tt build

most said, "don't do it" but this gives me some hope!

Sorry for the delayed response my Fiance has been in and out of the hospital after getting a Lumbar Puncture.

The transmission was built by century transmissions. Mike at gforce fine tuned the tune.

Mine is about to go to Century. Is this their normal heavy duty build?
