Who has the fastest 6spd vette??

275pros or 28-10.5 stiff walls for the bottle and either 275-50's or 26-10 stiff wall for NA.. May even try some little 24-9's slicks for NA to get some gear..

I do agree, I think he's going to find his goals a bit harder than he thinks, but not impossible. I'd personally be more humble about it, but I look forward to seeing what it does.

Pftt... Sounds slow.
Truer words can't be spoken. The reason we like to classify things is because some guys build their cars for one reason. Also, the base C6 and Z06 frames are different. ZR1 has a different transmission. It's completely fair to categorize different cars. When somebody pulls up at the track with the hardtop in the trunk with luggage for a 600 mile drive afterwards in full street trim(no skinnies/etc) runs mid 9's for a non 1/4 built car, I think it's different than a gutted/geared 1/4 only build that shows up on a trailer.
OP, good luck. I think 8.50's are possible in these cars, but I'm not sure I'd want to DD your setup. Good luck and keep us updated! Is Lethal still working on your car?

Well the 05 c6 has a different Trans.
And the 06 to 07 z06 has a different Trans.
And the 08 and up has a different Trans.
So if the Trans makes a difference
Let's make sure we have a class for each and everyone to be the fastests in. It's only fair.
And yeah I completely agree, we should all be able to come up with enough stipulations to make us the fastest in that category.

How do you figure? If he's making 1000 on the bottle, I can almost guarantee you with his cubes and that much nitrous he will have a crap load of torque over a 6.2 ZR1 or even the 427 Z06 that both ran high 8's. I doubt they made much more than 1000-1100rwhp, but that's just me bench racing.

Dunn's car is a powerglide now, and word on the street is it's coming to EFF some stuff up here in a few weeks at TI. Also a All Pro intake with a 4500 flange and an elbow will not fit under a stock hood without cutting it, ask me how I know.
But back to the OP's original post. There are a lot of fast 6spd cars out there that race from a roll and could do well in the 1/4mi if they had drivelines etc but there's still a chance of breaking stuff and in a bad way haha. Most of the bigger power cars that I know and they are also friends play in Mexico and TX2K and attend TI. There's some insane builds in the works that are going to make some serious steam and hopefully all of the stars will align for TX2K for the Vette crowd. If it does there will be several big powered cars in Houston come March. Can't leave out the Sinister car especially with what it just did last weekend in the half mile, Mike was driving the wheels off of that monster.

I know the Pumpking wants to take a shot at the new 203mph half mile record. Not sure who else in here is interested in that kind of racing, I'll probably do it a few times just for fun. And we wll know ANYTHING can happen in Mexico haha.

8 sec club seems very elusive for 6 speed cars regardless of how much power you have for Mexico. The stars must align between DA, wind speed and direction, track prep, a car that simply functions correctly, and a lot of skill. I wish you luck Steve, you will be hanging out in rare air for the Vette community it would seem.
Jared - what tire were you on for that pass?

Yeah I knew it couldn't be too much. Definitely using every bit of it to go that damn fast.
