Like the guy who ran a 4.01 in the 1/8 on drag radials, money makes the difference.

I didn't get to make any test and tune passes.. This was in eleminations and with courtesy staging and running a pro tree.. I was more concerned with cutting lights.. I was happy going high 1.30's / low 1.40's cutting .030 lights.. I honestly think I could've left on the rev limiter and gone high 1.20's.. I was just barely and smoothly slipping the clutch and it was leaving as smooth as a babies ***.. The car doesn't make enough power to over power the 275Pro as long as you dead hook it.. So if you know how to slip the clutch correctly.. Your gonna dead hook and should be able to leave with everything it's got.. We'll be going back to the track just for test and tune in a couple weeks and he should have a shifter in it by then so I can actually shift the damn thing.. Did I mention how much I hate stock shifters?? Anyways when we go back.. We'll see what this thing will really 60'..

Nice. You learn something every time out no matter how much experience you have.

I took a pass on the 28" mt pro's so I could go thru the traps with too high of an rpm and the car didn't like them. I had them aired all the way up and couldn't spin them likely because I'm just not making enough power or not willing to launch at 7000rpms.

Great tire though. I'll definitely try them if I ever run the race motor and compare to a slick.

We were running 17.5 psi in them.. A radial has to dead hook and if it spins it doesn't recover very well.. A slick or biasply needs wheel speed and a "controlled" spin to work properly and are very forgiving..

I dropped it outside and I never moved it...

I'm still at the same shop you came and saw my old turbo mustang at..

off telephone road down the road from texas performance.

But I guess I never think twice about it. I swapped the trans in my driveway just so I could work on it when I came home from work. And didn't have to drive to the shop just to get pissed off and turn around and go home.

It's a running and driving car now. Just played with it a bit.

Had so much fun driving it I didn't really spend any time on the tuning or schedule to take it anywhere. Oh and the fact that the intake was sticking up out the front like a big rhino horn..

I'm currently on the road again. I did order a new coupler and had my grandfather fit it up for me. Picture courtesy of an 72 year old man so don't be too hard on it please.

I might have it dropped off somewhere while I'm gone so it's ready to go when I get back. But at the same time I'm pretty busy so im not in a huge rush.

Goal is to see how fast I can go with the t56 this year.
And next year build a turbo combo with a powerglide and try and go a bit faster.

Only other things I might do this year
install the pro efi crap I have.
Faceplate the t56 if I don't like shifting this thing
Might buy a geared rear end so that I can run 28in tires..
