You say 1500+.. then say over 1000.. i dont know any boost only f1x cars making 1500+...
on my F1X build i have a 3" pipe from the blower to the FMIC, BASE Procharger FMIC from my old d1 kit with modified end tanks to accept 3" in and 4" out.. and then 4" from fmic to Factory TB.
Next time the car goes down for upgrades i will do a bigger core and 3.5" from the blower to the FMIC. Is it 100% needed? no IMO, but it will be another check mark off the list.

Burning Brakes
I'm doing similar build of F1X and nitrous - custom piping all throughout
3.5" F1X outlet to 3.5" intercooler inlet
Bell custom intercooler designed by DP, 4.5" core
4" intercooler outlet using 4" tubing to throttle body
V-banded the F1X and throttle body as well and went with vanjen clamps at the intercooler (allows for a little movement vs the v-bands) - no silicone anywhere.

Yep we just did the plumbing on yur2slo.. As he said enough movement in the Vanjen's to allow that little movement you do need.. But no silicone at all, wastegate custom flange on the 3.5" blower tube and then one Tial on bottom of IC and second Tial will be on charge tube.
