Great, May need to update from the 2 inch ones that are on mine. You need to make a 3.5 over the axle muffler now.

Great work ARH! I'm sure we'll use a set of these in the near future.

These are awesome! Has any back to back testing been done with the 2"/3" version?

Jeremy, The gains may be very significant depending on the application. These headers are clearly for high horsepower applications similar to some of the builds that have gone thru RPM.

So is ARH going to be switching over to V-bands across the board in the future? That's one feature I do miss from my Pfadt headers. ARH headers with V-bands and a 1-piece X-pipe would be a winner in my book.

The V-bands really aren't going to benefit any street driven car, I personally drive 20,000 miles/year with the ARH ball/socket setup, no leaks.

i agree.. The ARH ball and socket are perfectly fine..... even after years on a car with taking them on and off multiple times they are still perfect

Vbands just make it a pain in the butt for systems to fit, since there is no play. That is one of the reasons certain brands that used them were such hit/miss on fitment/rubbing. With the variations in the cars, a mass produced vband system isn't really a good thing, unless you want to take a chance that they may or may not fit.

Now this system still needs some fab work or uses an extension with play to mate up to the back, so it isn't an issue using them, but a vband setup that bolts to OEM stuff is tough.

I don't have any problems with the ball & socket setup on my ARH headers, but the V-bands worked great on both sets of Pfadt headers I had. One of those sets had other issues, but that's another story. I guess the V-bands just seem less "old school" to me. I know there's no performance benefit.

Maybe it's the 1-piece X-pipe that I miss more than the V-bands. I know it's probably done that way (i.e. separate rear connecting pipes) for adjustability with different axle-back exhausts, but getting the adjustment right and having it stay that way is probably my one beef with my ARH headers. I just hate those slip-fit joints I guess.

Yah, but from a manufacturing stand point, and keeping customers happy, their design is the best. If I was custom welding something up, I would do V-bands, but for something you want to sell and fit on every car, I wouldn't even consider it unless it was a connection you knew would have issues, something like a vband t-body where clearance/etc isn't an issue.
