TiAL BOV w/ Procharger D1SC kit
Hi guys, I am wanting input on switching the pro-flow bypass valve included with the Procharger D1SC kit for the TiAL Q BOV. This was recommended to me by my mechanic and he said the one that come with the kit sucks and stays open to much and looses boost. How is this BOV with this head unit? I don't want to overheat it or cause any problems, I don't care about the cool sound. Is it worth swapping or should I get the big red bypass valve?

I run one on my car with a -6 spring. One of my favorite mods.

Cool thanks for the input...what made you go with that spring? Can you estimate the amount of boost your car will make and size accordingly or would it be best to have your car all put together and measure the boost then buy accordingly? Because right now my motor is getting built and my car isn't put together so I really have no idea have much boost I will actually have.

I have one as well. I cut the bung out for the proflo and added the tial flange in its place. Definitely seals better.
I have the -3 spring as recommended by ECS and Tial. Seems other spring pressures work as well. I may try a stiffer spring to keep it closed more often.
The spring is based on engine vacuum not boost level.

I think I got mine from Amazon. Vacuum will be based on your cam selection but I think most every cam I've seen on here will produce enough for any of the springs Tial makes. Lighter springs will have it venting more often which should keep the intercooler cooler. Stiffer springs hold it closed more and are less annoying. Thats my take anyway.
What are your cam specs and size of the new motor? Maybe someone here has something similar.
Whatever springs you run will be an improvement over the procharger part.

The spring was recommended by ECS based on my cam and vacuum.

I love mine and know for a fact it works and flows better than my Vortech maxflow did on my ls3 camaro kit.

The bigger your cam (More Overlap) the less vacuum you will have for the most part. With that cam i would be looking at a 8psi spring to start and fine tuning from there.
