This winter is "GO FORCED INDUCTION WINTER" but I got questions

I disagree about cog setups. Chad Barton's F1X system was fine with the stick shift. It did chuck a belt after thousands of miles, but most blower setups do crap out belts. Boost control is easy with his quick swap restrictor system.
Properly set up turbo cars are fine too. The only issue mine has had was the stock clutch hydraulic line blowing out. Otherwise, it's been problem free. They are cluster****s with piping though... I'll give you that.
We both went 4L80 though. The cars are totally different animals with automatics.

(2) Restrictor system is easy.. but not as easy as clicking a button on an EBC.
(3) When im talking about BIG power.. im not talking about power cars like yours and mine make.. but rather people shooting for 1500+

I will be in St. Louis over Thanksgiving if the weather holds up. I may have to take you up on that offer. Pretty sure last time I met you in St. Louis back in 2003? maybe, you were driving down the track with "Lane_Change Sucks" on your back window. Times have changed a bit since then, but I'm sure your car runs 11's as it sits now. lol
Power wise with my current motor, I will be limited to around 1000-1100whp until I decide to likely sell the RHS447 and build an LSX to replace it. So I won't be big power anytime soon, but it will be big enough to enjoy for now without having to fill bottles every weekend, this ****'s getting old.

Pretty much. TI was humbling.

(1) why bother with a cog setup if you dont need it? my 10 rib works just fine.. as long as your tuner takes the time to set it up right cog is not needed

This may be true during TI, TX2K, and the like....but the other 95% of the time, an 1100-1300whp Vette will be just fine. Trying to be the king ding-a-ling just limits your racing to a very select few people, and I would rather enjoy running the car more often against a broader range of higher power cars than to constantly be trying to set the world and my wallet on fire.

Still would take a setup like Feldys over what you are considering. If you really want crazy 1400+ I would get a different car.

Someone needs to give me a ride in a faster F1X Vette then...because all I've been in was around an 800whp D1 setup and I just prefer the quick burst of power and half throttle feel of a turbo car spooling up as opposed to a blower car which to me only felt like it was pulling way way up in the powerband. I like the unrelentless feel of a supercharged setup that never seems to stop pulling where some turbo setups seem to start to fall off up top...but the 95% of the time that I'm not WOT, half throttling around in a turbo car just feels right.

William's F1X car is a good one to ride in once it's done and depending on how soon you want to make the swap.

Yea, Will's car would be pretty bad *** to ride in, but he's not going to be just an 1100whp setup so I wouldn't be comparing apples to apples, just like it's not fair to judge a 1100whp based off of an 800whp D1 setup. Two different animals.
We'll see. I'm not in a huge rush, just want to make more without spraying a ton more....a 400+ shot of nitrous to get my current setup up to 1100whp would be a lot of spray. Was thinking this winter would be the best time to take it apart, but in all reality....summer in Texas is the best time to take the car down since winter is great driving weather here.

Valid points. I'm with you on the weather also. Im originally from the north so being here in the south the "winter" is the best time to drive. Way too hot to really enjoy the other 360 days of the year lol

Yea, same here...midwest thought process that winter is the "upgrade time of year", but summer is the upgrade time in Houston. I have an a/c garage, might as well put it to use.

You should stay N/A and just add another stage since you already have a built motor.
Edit: Nvr mind I see your goals, A custom built single turbo setup is cheaper and will make great power.

Scott I have always loved how easy it is to bolt on a blower to make power. But after helping build/tune Kents twin 62/66 Camaro, I'd go twins in a heartbeat if my wallet allowed lol. The boost seems to be instant and his car seems to just keep pulling on the big end.
Fyi- After 80 miles driving/tuning on the hwy headed to the track we got four passes before getting booted. First two were just 330/660 pulls to see what the car was going to act like. 3rd pass went 9.02@149, 4th was a 9.03@153. The 2step was at 2900rpm and he was launching at 4lbs of boost running a max of 20lbs for now. Just a home built 6.0 with a stock ls2 cam since the turbo cam was hurt a week before the sctkc meet in the junkyard motor that let go.
