you are a pro here but I'd strongly recommend logging everything and get the wideband in there, I didn't do that because I was in a rush and lazy and now blew a motor up and hard to tell exactly what happened. I really like my dashlogic setup and AEM wideband too. Some guys were taping up the seams in the hood to keep air from building up under the hood to so maybe some super wide painters tape if you want to go that far. sounds like fun and post those gopro vids!

I always have a wideband, in fact I just won a second one that I may put in the car before. I would never have a boosted car without one.

Yes dashlogic rocks. Had one for over a year now.

I agree. I've done a half mile event and just did the Texas Mile. There is no comparison. I really just starts to get interesting at the half-mile point. My car danced around like a boat up on plane above 180. But after a run or two you get used to it.

^^This. I wouldn't even think about running a big boost car without scanning and logging everything.

180 is flying in a half-mile from a dig. You better be packin' some heat to hit that number. Some of these half-mile events go from a roll though.

Unreal has the power to do it. I'm 606rwhp hitting 168-170mph no problem

Got the new airaid filter, and it fits perfect. Was affraid it wouldn't fit. I can blow right through it, old filter not at all. Should make a big difference. My ECS filter that I made 1090 though has seen better days.

If you dont mind me asking are you still running a stock block just forged? Or did you swap to a new block and what did you go to? And what heads are you running?

GMPP LSX Block, Dragon slayer crank, Ultra rods, Ross coated livernois spec pistons, upgraded rings, coated everything
PRC 285 heads, all 6 bolt setup

You can see the ugly orange block in those pictures.

I'm running 700whp now with a D1SC and stock bottom end, with plans to maybe go to a F1X. In your opinion if I do is there anything wrong with building the block I have and forge everything…will that hold 1000hp? Or should I buy a new block & forge from there? A shop I talked to is recommending a new RHS block because he said the LS7 blocks are no good for much over what I already have. What do you think?

Stock with good parts can do 1000 pushing it, but if you are doing F1X I would never even consider a stock block. That is a blower to make 1300+hp. No reason to run one to make 1000. Run a Ysi to make 1000, or if you want the f1a-94.

RHS, ERL super deck, LSX, etc. There is a huge difference between 700 and 1000. Add 20k in parts to get the next 300hp and spin city.

Pulled intake off last night to do the n2o outlet parts.

Intake valves look clean and pretty after almost 18k miles on them.

Good luck on the 1/2 mile run. I wish we had something like that up here as it seems like a lot more fun than waiting in a long line to make a 1/4 mile pass.
Your car should be awesome when you get into 4th and start to do a long pull up to 1/2 mile.

Have a good flight. We will see you on Friday. How about Jim's on Redwood by your old house for breakfast?

Sounds good. You will have to come by and critique the Vega and the 88mm Turbo installation.
