Add nitrous outlet to a company I'll never recommend or do business with again. For as much time as I have trying to get their junk to fit, I could have swapped the clutch. I can't stand parts with no instructions that don't fit. Wasted 12-13 hours now trying to get their junk to fit with no success. So started putting the stock stuff back on. What a colossal waste of time and money. Completely killed my weekend just to put the car back exactly what it was before.

Now that kind of crap sucks! I've had a few of those and when complaining why they have no instructions or their stuff don't fit they say the proverbial-"you're the first one that ever complained"...sure I am.

I signed up for the event also. I'm small potatoes to you guys with 1000+hp, but figured it'd be fun to stretch the vettes legs anyway.

Having gone and run the TX mile I'm figuring an hour drive beats 17 hrs and the rolling start vs the dig at the TX mile should be fun. I only ran 147mph at the half mile mark in TX with the standing start so hoping to hit 160+ if we have some nice cool weather.

Put 30 miles on car yesterday, all seems good. Need to get the tune dialed in this week because I'm in Montana next week, Ireland the week after, and Germany the week before the race, and get home the Thursday before. This is why I need the car done this weekend and the n2o outlet JUNK really screwed me.

if you're still looking for a way to run rear steam vents, this is what I did (google pic for reference)

GM part #12605716

I run a hose to a Y up front where I tie in the other forward facing steam vent

Yep, I'll just do something like that, or the trick flow kit after the race. No time now to mess with it.

Will have to check to see if that clears an ls7 manifold. I think that was part of the issue, I doubt N2o outlet ever put one on a stock ls7 manifold. Nothing fit. Maybe with a fast 102 it would, but stock ls7 there was no way it was fitting.

never had any issues with any nitrous outlet products, they've overnighted things to me on their dime and have made real quality stuff. could just be bad luck?

on another note for half mile prep. don't be afraid to air down. I ran my mickey DRs at 10-15 lbs and they were stable to speed. did a few 184+ standing halfmile passes with them that way. early traction for the jump is pretty crutial. I pulled a few cars trapping 190+ because of being able to roll into it so hard so early.

was going to try and make this event down there on the 13th but my clutch is toast and doing new heads and valve train and the new big arh headers. not going to have it all in time

I don't know about the n2o outlet parts. They did overnight me new parts, but even those didn't fit. I called, messaged, and did everything to get some help, and it was crickets. Still haven't got a response, but talking to Joe I know they got my messages because they were talking to him about it. It all got returned, and I got my money for the parts back. I won't get 2 days of my time or the $150 back for the race I missed because of this crap. Add them to the list of companies I will not recommend or deal with again.

Wired the wideband into the HP tuners last night. Should have done this months ago but I was being lazy. Getting AFR on the charts now. Still just goes ~10.0 so slowly leaning it out. May hit the dyno this Thursday, just depends on work.

Other than that, waiting on a zr1 sway bar that should be in soon. I should have time to do that, even if it is day before the race.

Doesn't nitrous outlet have it listed as a fast 102mm kit??

Not fair to them to bitch about it fitting a ls7 manifold when it's listed and sold as a fast 102 kit.

Nope, ordered a ls7 kit, for a stock ls7 manifold. They knew exactly what it was going on.

I looked on Thier site.

Didn't see a stock ls7 manifold kit. Maybe they misunderstood or maybe you mis desribed.

Thier invoices are pretty detailed.

Did it say stock ls7 kit on your invoice?

Ordered it through CPR, so either they messed up, or CPR did. CPR said they do an ls7 kit, N2o outlet said they do one, they ordered one for an ls7, Brandon and Dave found out it didn't fit, said they messed up and sent the wrong fitting/lines and overnighted me the correct ones. They knew it was an ls7 manifold/block/etc, as I sent pictures showing what didn't fit. If they didn't make a kit, they should have said opps we don't do that instead of wasting time/money saying they sent the wrong parts and sending me new stuff that didn't fit.

So either n2o outlet messed up, or Joe@CPR fed me a bunch of crap, but since I talked with Dave@N2O outlet and Joe, I don't think that is the issue.

Joe refunded my money, apologized, and hooked me up with some other stuff for my troubles. Parts are going back to Brandon and maybe he can figure out what is going on. Either way it wasn't a good situation for me.

Ya I definitely didn't feed you any crap. When I called the order in I specifically said what the car was, motor and intake manifold. I even brought up the fact the site doesn't say specifically an ls7 kit and was told it's just not listed but they have it. So that is my side.

Well I'm pretty much out. ECS tensioner died, can't get one quick enough, so all this for nothing. Ohh well. Will get ready for another.

I got tomorrow to fix it, busy sunday. Then out of town. So with the 10 rib you can't get tensioner off with pulling rack or lowering cradle, and the idler/tensioner needs replaced. Couldn't get one on order today, so basically plan is blown. Maybe AGP can modify or make me something to work but I doubt it. Car is all apart in garage, looking sad.
