Cool. Then he should easily be the fastest vette there.

I doubt it will matter, they will always have 2 cars running, just some races won't be close.

It will probably matter to those guys that want to notch bragging rights as to what cars they beat.
I think a lot of us are going just to see what our cars will do. Should be fun.

And I have to be back in Pittsburgh this weekend, fug. Well maybe next time. Would love to see the speed even though I pushing a lowly 590 rwhp. That will have to be remedied.

Yah I just want to have fun. Hopefully it isn't full of douche bags concerned with "winning".

Well I had a little eye opener today. Had the car out on the mustang dyno to tune for the new elec cutouts. Trying to find the missing power up top that hasn't been on tap with this engine since taking it out of the 02 camaro (burned up) and putting it in this vette.
The good news is it picked up almost 30whp (only 7 peak with the cutouts opened, but a better curve).
The bad news is it was showing almost 520/515 in the camaro and after today in the vette it's barely cracking 500/495.
That sure explains the lower than mph I was expecting at the TX mile, but not sure where the power has gone?
I had a set of used tsp headers and a straight through 3" exhaust with low restriction bullet muffs and no cats on the camaro since it was 80% track and 20% street (with ear plugs). The vette is just the opposite, running the same size headers (1 7/8") but new ARH with high flow cats and the stock titanium axle back exhaust (hence the cutouts in front of it).
I'm not sure the power is all in the exhaust. It's got a good rattle like a lifter going bad, so after tomorrow I'll need to check that out.
And the weather report says we will have limited time, if any to race tomorrow with that big rain storm from Ca heading our way. That will suck!

Dyno is just a tool. Don't worry if it is 520 on one, and 500 on another. Plus different drive trains. Vette rear tranny eats up more power than f-body. Plus mustang dynos read lower, plus just day to day you can have 20+hp swings.
Weather depends where you look. weather.com says clear after 7am, other sites say mixed showers in morning and clear in afternoon.

I don't claim my butt dyno to be super accurate, but it tells me there is something up.
Had my boy with me at the last rr event a few weeks ago and he mentioned it felt slower than the camaro and it feels like its just down on power.
Oh well, hopefully we can get lots of passes in tomorrow.

What a fun day. Weather cooperated and everything. I believe I saw a couple of your passes in the upper 170's. You had me covered by 20mph.
Other than a flat tire that shut me down the last 2 hours while I scrambled to fix it, I had an absolute BLAST!!!
That yellow vette apparently blew up a trans or clutch or something early on. Ouch.

Posted a different thread on it. Saw the yellow vette make a single pass spinning all over. When it showed up on 18s I knew it wasn't going anywhere fast. Even if you make 1500+rwhp you aren't going to put the power down on a tire like that.
