Drive out to Arizona for a nice vacation, free beer, and maybe some racing. Drive back to NC with a tranny. Win win.

hahaha
my car is slammed, as have been every car i've owned for many years. I've had many cars towed and never had anyone from AAA bitch about that. I always tell them up front to don't waste their time sending anything other than a flat bed

He had a flat bed. Tried telling me he wasn't allowed blah blah blah. My friend whose AAA account it was started screaming at him. Lol

lol at least you've got someone close by! I've had a few cars towed around thanks to AAA.. the trick is they have to have a valid plate on them. It doesn't matter if it's for that car or if you even own it, just a plate with a valid registration sticker and they'll tow it
Thanks--me too. Yours should be a beast in the end!
That's pretty crappy, the last one I had brought board with him to help get me on the truck without scraping anything up but I guess most just want easy and fast
For the heck of it I had to look it up.. 2100 miles / 30 hours If I ever make a trip anywhere close to where you are I'll let you know though
lol, sounds like AAA guy was just lazy to me!

yeah, I've never had any issues, they always have boards etc and have never had my car messed up on a AAA tow. usually they are stoked actually as vette is a little more interesting than the millions of camry's and busted civics they usually tow.

Because methanol!
Going to try a new place for the next refill, hopefully it will be a lot cheaper

They sure weren't cheap, but it being delivered to my door was nice, haven't had time to go get any
I found a local place that sells methanol to a lot of go kart tracks and racers around here that has it for dirt cheap, I just need to leave work early and get by there before they close one of these days

If I had a place to put a 55 gallon drum of it I would just order one of those through work and be set for life. Even if I only use 1/3 of it it'd still be way cheaper

That's pretty reasonable.. the shop I used to get it from said they try to wait for several people to want some before they order it because the freight is the same whether they order 1 can or 20. I'm going the generic methyl alcohol route next time

The place we get it from is a Large Oil and Fuel distributor in our area. You have to call them ahead to reserve it. They get a shipment each week but it goes quick.

Any thoughts on connecting the rear steam vents?
Thought about doing that before 1/2 mile but not sure if people still think it's of any use or not.
