Wish I had bought dude_man's old kit...

Yeah the driving home on meth thing was pretty sketchy but you do what ya gotta do I guess. If I had noticed the fuse was blown I could have changed that and used gasoline but I'd bet I'm one of the first to ever use an Alky control kit like that

Besides the turbo kit, and fuel what other mods?

No reason it can't crack 800rwhp with ease if you want to.

AGP TT 54/57 .82 AR, ID1700's, Squash fuel system, flex fuel sensor and alky control kit for a little cooling are pretty well it. He went overkill on fuel system thankfully. Literally everything is there to make over 1000 except the bottom end.

Power making mod wise it doesn't get much simpler without cutting corners on fuel IMO.

He's also done clutch, driveshaft, axles, rear end and some other stuff like that but it still has stock intake, cam and heads.

We wanted to get an idea where it was at on a dynojet sine that's what most others are using. The dyno we used over the weekend was reading so low I really wasn't sure how much further we could go

It's rich up top right now, I think that's why the torque is dropping off so fast.

Nice work, Carson. That thing should make serious power when you're done with it.
Funny story about using the meth system to fuel the car home too.
Are you going to do the ECS Stage 1 system with the separate fuel line running all the way up front to the rail, or what? I guess the bright side is that now you have something else to work on on your car, eh?

Roughly 12* at peak torque, 15* at 6500. Boost is flat between those two points.

Running meth so IAT's are low, under 100*F

I haven't decided yet.. dude is helping me put together a parts list to build a real return style system that would use the factory feed as a return.. but I haven't finished adding up what parts would cost me. If I'm going to do a fuel system I figure I might as well make it flow enough to run E85 if I want to..

The ECS stage 1 would be easier for sure though.. stage 1 just basically splices into the feed line back near the tank. I think that + meth would be enough, even on E85. It doesn't seem ideal to do it that way but a lot of people are running it without any issues, I even found some posts of people running it just fine on E85. And I have the Z06 in tank pump now so will help too.

I think it's their stage 2 that adds a bigger pump and return line, and makes you block off the regulators in the tanks if I remember right

Sounds reasonable with stock bottom end (it was stock, right?).

How did it respond with 1..2 degrees of less timing?

Yep, totally stock engine except for valve springs and push rods. I forgot he had changed those.. but that's the only engine changes that have been made. It's just a run of the mill LS3 with about 10K miles on it.

Power dropped fast with less timing and went up fast with more. I don't have exact numbers in front of me for every change but every time I added even 0.5* it picked up power

I do remember that with 3psi more boost and a few degrees of timing it picked up about 120 ft*lbs tq... which I thought was pretty impressive

Curve looks normal. Stock cam rolls off like that, but power is holding just fine.

Ordered fuel pump system this morning. Basically copying dude_man's. Adding flex fuel sensor because hey why not, everyone likes corn. I was looking at ~$300 for a new BAP which seemed pretty dumb since I've been borderline on fuel system for a while anyways IMO.

It is basically going to Y together the factory pump feed + a secondary inline pump (via hobbs) to a -8AN hose that'll go up front. Factory feed line will be turned into a return line. Flex fuel sensor will be on return line up near fuel rail.

I'm using black PTFE hose so that should look nice at least

I'm putting a regulator on it even though I know it won't work the same without the in tank regulator plugged. I don't love the idea of making the in tank one dump a ton of fuel when the second pump kicks on, so I think this is the better way to do it.

Down the road if I ever have the tank off again I can block the regulator off and then have a fully boost referenced system. In the meantime this should work just fine.

Hoping to get it all installed late next week assuming all the parts show up on time.

If it works like it should I'll post some details on parts, pictures, etc. in case anyone else wants to do the same. There's nothing special about it, but it did take quite a bit of time to figure out all the fittings and adapters to make it work.
