Well, I finally did it.. (ECS /FSP)

I had no idea they even made a billet support like that, damnit, wish I'd known that before I just had the whole thing put back together but that's great. one of the good things about doing all the work yourself is that at least you know it was all done right too. nice work!

Thanks, yeah I didn't really know they made that either.. but they threw one in when they shipped the triple to me. I swapped it over to a new slave while I had it apart (I couldn't wrap my head around the idea of putting a used slave back in) I also didn't realize that ALL of the force between the slave hydraulics and pressure plate is transferred through the bearing support.. so a metal one does seem like a good idea. I always thought it was just there to center the throwout bearing or something.. but not so much.
I don't usually know what I've done is right.. I just know if it's wrong, it's my fault and I'm going to be doing it all over again

I got an email back from the shop that Bret recommended and they said they can fix it, so I'm going to give them a shot. Will be next week before I get it back, so weekend after this one before I can get it back together, assuming weather cooperates.

Think I'm going to go ahead with replacing the fuel pump with a Z06 unit while I have the drivetrain out. I won't have the input shaft back until late next week, so I could swap out the fuel pump module with a new Z06 unit this weekend while waiting on that. I will also probably go ahead and install the clutch this weekend so once I get the input shaft back I can just put the torque tube together and then go hard on reinstalling everything else.
My old fuel pump has been seeing higher voltage for a good 7 months straight due to the hobbs switch screw up on my part, and it has 140K+ miles on it.. so I don't have a lot of faith in it lasting much longer, and sure as hell don't want to pull the tanks with the drivetrain in again.

Any idea if ACDELCO M10059 is any different? Looks like the one you posted is Delphi, but I think they are basically the same

Here is all the interchangeable numbers. FG1092 was the best deal I found. Came packaged very well everything intact. No issues at all.
They're all the same, its just a different sticker they put on top and change prices.

Personally the LS3 pump is hit and miss once you start trying to push it.

Hoping to get fuel pump and clutch installed this weekend along with any other small stuff I can think of.
Then as soon as I get the input shaft back from repair I'll put the torque tube back together and get it back together.

Great idea. I don't know if you recall the issue I had with my blown car. After 100 miles of driving it would crap out. Yup...****** LS3 fuel pump. I've since went with the LS7's pump with the BAP and no issues. Plus I have higher fuel pressure across the board.

I've had a problem for months where it would start running leaner after I drove it for a while. I always attributed it to IAT's rising from everything just getting hot from driving.. but I have to wonder if it wasn't fuel pump related.
I hope this will fix that issue and make WOT tuning a whole lot more consistent
Guess we'll find out!

I didn't realize you had that problem.. good to know. Mine has a ton of miles on it (like 140K), and it's been ran at ~17V for basically all of this year by accident.. so I can't imagine it being in good shape. Now's the time to change it if I'm going to do it.

Stock pump I feel (can't prove) likely was overheating from hot weather in Florida, driving long distances, and now commanding it to provide more fuel than it's designed for. At least the LS7 pump is a stronger pump from the start. Only thing

...and his post just about sums it up. I got a wideband and noted 17.8 AFR when it was falling on it's face

You posted in the thread when I had the problem as it kept coming up over and over again...to refresh your memory

Between the fuel pump and the broken spark plug you found, I bet your issue is solved.
I have a few things I'd like to get done on mine still but it's 102 here today. Supposed to get it on the dyno finally in 2 weeks. Won't make the biggest numbers this time of year, but at least WOT will be tuned and I can start pushing it a little once in a while.

Wish I had a fuel pressure sensor on it so I could be sure.. I may order a sensor today so I can add that

You were never able to figure out why the other one wouldn't seal?
