I do like the methanol smell though. Kind of sweet!

Just got back from 600 mile trip to Georgia. Got 25mpg overall.. would have been better but I was messing with some tuning stuff on the way back. Got closer to 26 on the way there (that's based on trip odometer and gas in tank, not the read out)
Hard to beat that on a supercharged car.
I found that making some small adjustments to injector boundary table really made the car feel good. More mid-range torque and smoother. Very surprised by that on a stock cam'd car, but I guess a supercharger shoving air in the cylinders is a little different than NA anyways so kind of makes sense.
No hiccups with the car.. Got stuck in stop and go traffic so hopefully that helped finish breaking in the new parts on this clutch.

Thanks--yeah, tis good to just drive it and not have to work on it. Honestly I'm not sure what to do with my long weekend now, lol..
Need to order some hose to relocate the evap solenoid I guess. That's about all I got. I guess I could wash the thing.. it hasn't been washed in like a month

New toys came in. Thank you Amazon.
Got two different kinds of wire covering--one is like a see through mesh and one is solid. I like the solid one better I think. I think these + some heat shrink on the ends should look really good to fix my mess of a wiring job for the wideband. I'll work on it tomorrow or this evening.
I got 1/2" on the see through stuff and 3/8" on the solid stuff. Wish I had gotten some 1/4" in hindsight.
Also got a piece of hose to relocate the evap solenoid. I finally got around to measuring the connections (after I ordered hose of course) and it's 5/16". I ordered -6 (6/16") hose but there's a barb on the connections that may work to seal things up. Haven't decided whether I'll try some -4AN hose or try what I already have and see how it works.

the solid loom would look killer, I originally wanted to do my engine harness that way and use heat shrink on the ends just like you're saying... I abandoned that idea when I realized the injector clips come off in reverse order so I would of had to cut the plug off, install the loom, resolder/heatshrink all the wires, then heatshrink the ends and I was not prepared to go through all that hassle... I ended up using the split loom like you have on the left, I think it was called techflex f6 or something like that... it came out ok, looks much better than the factory stuff but I had to use some small zipties in certain areas so it wouldn't open up

Yep! Tech flex is what I got. I need to get some decent heat shrink next then I'll have a project to keep me busy for a bit at least

Not sure if the same brand, but that looks the same as what I used all over the place. I even got rid of those big ugly connectors to the coil packs.

Still gotta do something about that battery connector but still looks a lot better than bare wires
MAP wire for alky control box
(this was with the other style stuff, only because I had too many wires to cover for the solid stuff to fit)

I like it. I doubt I'll take it to quite the extreme you have.. but the little bit I have done to cover up some bare wires looks a whole lot better

See-through wire loom, aka, "wire lingerie"??? WTF?! What will they come up with next?!
I guess it's the latest thing to make your underhood area "dead sexy"!
Trust schpenxel to find this stuff!
Looking good bro. Your only worry must be that you might someday run out of things to tinker with on that car!

I may regret saying I'm running out of stuff to mess with.. but I feel like I am right now. I've thought about throwing some forged rods/pistons in it but just don't want to bother right now. Probably just going to drive it and hope nothing else breaks for a while.
Need to do brakes/rotors/shocks in the next month or two but that's about all I really know of at the moment

finish your tune and go beat up on some cars... after working on it for so long it's nice to just be able to go out and have fun then park it afterwards

Or I could break down and just put the thing on a dyno like most sane people I need to do that anyways. It could be 100rwhp under where it should be and I wouldn't know the difference sine I don't have anything to compare to. Don't think it is.. but ya never know
Time to beat on some imports, lol
Agree though.. will be nice to just drive the thing.
edit: yeah, I'm apparently maxing out the VE airflow values at about 5,400 RPM's, so I'll probably do some slight scaling to squeeze in under that that limit soon (512 g/sec @ just under 9psi)

Really surprised how fast the clutch fluid gets dirty looking. This is with brand new everything.. master and slave, both are brand new. Motul 600 fluid
And after bleeding real quick:

when mine was street tuned we did 4th gear pulls, it is interesting to say the least... I haven't put mine back on a dyno since getting it back together... I might do it when it cools off but it isn't that important to me, I know it's tuned right and it holds it's own but I am curious to see what it will put down this time around... heck man you will beat up most imports, remember you're playing with the big dogs now so it's gonna have to be something substantial to run with your car... you can probably start messing with some bikes too... motul gets dark pretty fast, I have used it in my clutch before and it's currently used for my brakes and it did the same thing... I am using castrol srf for the clutch currently and I put it in when I installed the clutch about a year ago and the fluid still looks fairly new... but go look at the price of that stuff compared to motul, maybe that's why it still looks clean haha
#1200
with a new clutch I think you'll find the motul gets dirty pretty quick, then after 1k miles it will stay cleaner longer. I pretty much clean and replace the clutch fluid "ranger style" everytime I drive the car but I'm also a bit of a fanatic when it comes to upkeep on my car....
it's funny that only on this board does ~600whp seem "normal", that's a 700hp 3200lb car! obviously a lot of variables at play but that's seriously not that far off on the power to weight of a veyron...
