Awesome, I have a case of that stuff sitting around anyways from my BMW days, so I'll throw that in there. I need to change the oil in the head unit anyways so I'll do both soon.
I wonder if that customs buddy has moved on yet? Surely he's been promoted for his excellent work by now

New cabin filter cover came in today. Seal def looks way better on the new one. Also noticed, the clips are tight when putting the new one on. On the old one, they barely stayed clipped because it was so loose, meaning there was no real pressure on the seal
I also got my new license plate today, so I am 100% legal again. Woohoo!

Good news, I drove the corvette on an hour each way trip last week and it was fine, no head numbing noxious fumes. Finally!
Now, I’m seriously considering selling it. I never drive it and prices are pretty absurd right now.
Any ideas what this thing would go for in this crazy market? It’s such an odd combo of high miles plus well put together mods (IMO anyways) that I can’t find much to compare to.
Any thoughts? I might just throw a stupid price on it and see what happens.

Yeah it'd be a tough one to let go. It's crazy to think I've owned it for like 8 or 9 years now... by far the longest I've ever owned a car. But I don't get to get new toys without getting rid of old ones these days
A ZR1 sounds good. Something with a turbo sounds fun too

I think I'm going the opposite extreme and getting a Tesla Model 3 Performance for now. I'll probably wait until next year and hope that prices on used ones come back down to reality and then buy one that is a year or two old. Right now you basically pay the same for a new and used one and the lead time is only about a month for a new one, so it makes no sense why people are paying prices that high when you can just get a new one.
Long term I'd like to eventually pick up something I can build with a turbo, something like a fifth gen Camaro with an AGP twin turbo kit would be cool or maybe something that's a swap like a Nissan 240 with a turbo LS or something like that where I could put together a turbo kit myself but it's been done enough time on those that I wouldn't be starting from scratch and it fits a lot easier than TT kits on C6's.
I've tuned a couple turbo 240's lately and they're wicked fast with how light they are. Also tuned a couple of FSR's with LS swaps, some forced induction.. same deal more or less, they are quick and the power to weight ratio is just crazy.
I doubt I'll be back into a Corvette anytime soon though. I've had one on and off since I was probably 20 but right now I'd really only be happy with a C7 or C8 and I just don't want to have that much tied up in a car with the way prices are so high right now. Maybe one day though!
