Abdul (local 1300rwhp Dsteck/CBI built car) runs a A&A 8 rib ysi/direct drive, and would be a good person to ask.
I can give him the correct length using a 8" lower and 2.75" upper and the A&A kit but im not sure about any other pulley combo. 53.5" gets it done...

I have to check my lower. ATI 8% overdrive. I will get the size. For the upper I don't imagine I will be going that small, but you never know.

Just do it and use a restrictor plate to limit peak boost. That way you don't loose the bennifit of the blower spinning fast out of the gate.

I will experiment a bit. I think the smaller pulley I got with it is 2.875 ??

Is a restrictor plate something I buy or make ?

The 2.875 would probably work fine with that belt as well...
You would have to make it, you are basically just slightly restricting the inlet side of the blower. ECS does this with their basic kits, it works very well.

I actually just emailed them. They say 8" drive diameter (8.19" overall diameter)

whoops, nevermind, that's for a 10-rib 6% OD.. not sure what yours would be.

I just looked up the one they sold me. It says 7.53 on there site. Are we talking damper or shell assembly size ?

This is what I have.. quote from ATI email...

8 rib damper P/N 917345 by itself you have to specify that you want it built with the 8% overdriven shell assembly P/N 917107

Guess I will call also.

I would just keep the eforce if it was me. Best blower ever, and PD torque can't be beat.

yea, the whole 'shell #' thing is pretty confusing... took me a while to get mine ordered right

I use this conversion page, even though I just care about the balancer #
http://www.atiracing.com/products/da...harger.kit.htm

8% OD – 7.960” Overall Dia, uses shell assy, 917107

That's exactly what I am using. So I guess its what they consider 8.0

Good info.. thanks.

Got an IW with this kit, but prefer mine.. I will sell it.

my 8.19" = 8" drive diameter (used for blower rpm calc)

So your 7.96" probably = 7.77" drive diameter

I'd be curious what ATI says though.

I personally like the ATI better, for no real reason. I have heard nothing bad against either.

In this case I will leave my ATI because it is new, and it is on the car. I see no advantage to changing it.
