Haha... I know you are.

I would never knock the eforce I had. Did what I want and had no problems with it in 4 years. I never faced the issues you don't like about PD's. I hope I get so lucky this time around.

As long as the belt alignment is perfect, you will have ZERO issues.

That's what I keep reading. I have ordered 7 laser alignment tools to make sure.

Ok... emailed ATI and asked what measurement I should use to calculate blower speed. Here is the response, which doesn't really help unless I know if I should use the damper size or the shell size. Simple question I asked them. Lousy answer.

P/N 917107 is 7.96 diameter which is 8% over driven.

I suppose this means I should this measurement, which is the shell size.

You need to make sure you calibrate it over a long distance. That piece of paper it comes with is a joke. I used a extruded level and a granite surface plate to calibrate mine over 3 feet.

I will. I read the sticky in the C5 section. Seems to be a good explanation. Thanks

10% OD would be 8", so I would just go off their 8% OD and use that. So it probably is a 7.8 or so.

Breecher, ATI basher is a good name, considering what the Procharger guy thinks of you. Wrong ATI though.

Very nice other than the ugly damper.

I was planning something very similar and to put my BOV is the same spot more or less. How big is that pipe and is it ok with the full size rad and stock hood ?

Looks like 4", and yes, no issues. ECS and the newer A&A kits both use 4" upper now.

Car has two of those BOV's, the other is in the stock A&A location under the headlight right off the blower discharge.. The Inlet is 4". The radiator is a shortened dewitts unit with a custom fan shroud I made, dual electric fans. Yes the stock hood fits. Everything would fit with the stock radiator with the exception of the 4" inlet pipe...

Ok.. that's kinda what I figured. I am not changing my rad so I will use an inlet that fits the best I can. Probably fabricate something nice for that. Wasn't planning on a second BOV for now, but I will see how that goes.

You guys are very helpful, and I appreciate it.

ATI 10-rib "6%" balancer is 8.19 overall, 8" drive surface... so I wouldn't put much weight on the % number

IMO, put the BOV pre intercooler core. You want to vent the air before it heats up the cooler. I got 1 tial on the U pipe where A&A puts there, and 1 on the bottom of the IC where ECS puts there. I think any Ysi spinning fast needs at least 2 BOVs. Now if you spin it slower, maybe 1 will do.

Agreed, 2 BOVs is cheap insurance against blower surge. I also agree it is ideally better to put both pre intercooler. I simply did not have room with this setup, the second had to go on the upper charge pipe.

So then I will just mount the BOV where A&A does. Think it looks cool up top but want it to work as well as possible. What do you consider spinning it fast ?
