Default Extreme Widebody kit + 15" Drag Setup

I know this has nothing to do with FI but I thought this might be very relevent since most of the guys who use the 15" setup are here.

Have you seen any Vette with an extreme widebody (SV or Loma) and running the 15" setup? How did it look? How was the fitment?

You'd need a custom wheel or thick spacers. Spacers on the rear wheels at 15" levels of horsepower usually don't go together

I always thought it would be interesting to try a 17" wheel with the m&h 390 width tires

I almost put these on my car as they are only 1/2'' wider than my current 345/40/18 MT ET street II however they are too tall. My MTs are rubbing on the front and rear portion of the inner fender where the battery box and brake cooling duct are located, neither amendable to wider fenders unfortunately

you could have weld build you a custom offset wheel, no spacers.

call LOMA here in the US, they might be able to help you. They can also do you a wheel with the specific offset for your needs or tell you what you might need.

The head of sales does some drag racing and he might be able to tell you what has worked well

Yeah, I heard that those will need huge spacers event on 12" wheels. That is the main reason I'm hesitating going that route. Have you seen the 390 on a C6?

I'm also having some rubbing action on the rear. My liners are almost gone with my 345/35/18 MT's. What are you planning to do to work this out? I think mine are around 27" tall. I'm planning to go 15" and go wider and keeping pretty much the same height. I'm still looking for the proper tire--->workout the wheel and offsets required.

I haven't seen any widebody that went with 15's so far and this is why this post. Jason from SuperVettes thankfully shared with me some that are running 18's but that is not really going to cut it with me..

Have you worked up what your offset/backspacing would need to be on a 12" wheel?

I know weld will build the Alumnastar 2.0 to 12 wide with 3" backspace. I've run that wheel on drag vehicles before.

My z06 doesn't rub with 345 or the 325 ET streets. Are you slammed or what? I keep my cars at or above stock ride height. I don't deal with the slammed down stuff and have plenty of clearance.

I'm not!! Actually I raised it to the highest point I can on the lowering bolts but it still doesn't clear when I hit it. I'll post some photos later.

Loma Might be able to make you the wide body and the rim. We can get you in contact with the US distributor if you need.

If these would fit our car I would have them on already.

My current 345/35/18 MT's clearance. Lowering bolts are raised to the highest point.

Yup, tight but works.

Don't forget the tire will grow at speed

So I'm thinking to go with the following setup

- 15x12 rears with 325/50 tires
- 18x10.5 fronts and I still did not decide on the tires.

Do you guys think that those will fill up the fenders and look good?

15x10 is normal for z06 offsets, so adding 2" to the barrel should make them flush with your 2" wider fenders... but I'm not sure how wheels are built so you'd want to clarify with weld

I can custom build you a setup... Been working with another guy with doing the exact same thing... 390 tire is way too big you can not use it.
