Anyone have any idea? My personal car just went 8.20@167 and we built a customers car that just went 8.21@167.. Both procharged C6Z's With A&A brackets on them.

I believe it's 8.4 from an ECS powered G force car out of Tx, and 8.5 out of our shop 4-5 years ago.
That said, you're also using nitrous though correct?
That kind of rules it out of the "supercharged" category no?
Impressive none the less.

My personal car no nitrous. 8.20@167 with an F1c... Other car is a street car with an F1R and a 100 shot... It went 8.56@159 boost only.

Chad Barton went 8.57 boost only on stock suspension. The goal is to knock that down to 8.0 or 7.9 while keeping it a true streetable car.

All I am saying is that Chad Barton's car is very impressive for a street car. I believe the 8.57@167 was their first time out after the auto conversion. Nothing would tell you that car is that fast...only until you hear the F1X lol

Sounds like we have a race... Our street car that went 8.56 boost only has ice cold AC... With a LOT smaller blower.

Chad's got AC and everything too, including overdrive and lockup. He made that pass with a 3.6" restrictor on the blower inlet. Our track here isn't always the best for sticking though. I think he will be hard pressed to run a crazy 60' without a different track. Anything more than about half throttle wouldn't hold, and it was only in the 1.4s for 60'. He cut a 1.3 once, but the pass had to be aborted because of oil halfway down the track.

Fran what makes your personal 8.2 C6Z not street-able like the F1R C6Z ?
Weight reduction ?
I think yours is the fastest good work I can't imagine F1X on that car

Has a 3.42 gear... Ill drive it anywhere you want.... Like driving a 6 speed car around in 4th gear.... Still plenty drivable
Mine has no radiator a 3 gallon fuel cell, Its solid roller etc.... Its a race car haha... I will eventually put an F1X on my car.

My 71' came from the factory with a T400, which is a 3 spd with 1:1 high gear ratio, same as every Powerglide (2 spd) since the 50's. My car has traveled 157k miles 1:1 high gear... I'd say that's plenty driveable...
Powerglides came in everything from station wagons to Vettes from the 50's to mid 60's... and they were daily drivers then.
Is it as efficient as an OD tranny? NO... but is it streetable, absolutely..

I love the "street car" debate...
Can you fill it up at the gas station? Yes
Does it have air conditioning? Yes
Can you drive it cross country without wanting to kill yourself? Yes
Will it overheat in traffic? No
Gearing is irrelevant if you can do the above, atleast in my book!
That is a bad *** car though Fran, race car or not...

You can argue back and forth on what a street car is all day, and I'm bored enough at work most of the time to do that, but really it is going to be a personal thing. I don't want a street car without OD. Hell in socal A/C is optional for a street car, but in Phoenix I need a/c.
Mid/low 8s in any car that is registered and street driven is impressive.

However, it does run its *** off so the trade off may be more then worth it for the owner.
