Default Upgrade to LS3/7 blade MAF(mass air meter), any benefit or reason not to???

I have the LS2 with the older 2001up GM MAF, is there any reason or benefit upgrading to the LS3/7 blade type MAF???

Thank You

Depends on setup. Opens up options to run larger intakes. Then again if you aren't maxing out the ls2 one I don't see it worth the money.

What sort of RWHP does it take to max out a stock LS2 one, roughly?

On a boosted application thats a MAF tune you can put the card in a 4" pipe and gain some MAF range. Thats the main reason I can think of.

To be honest, the 01-07 maf just looks ugly and clunky in the intake tract, I wanted to ditch it for the card and of course change out the tune if needed. (don't know if the table are unique)

The tune will definitely need changing.
