I started a SD tune, got bored, went back to maf and never finished it. Maf has been working fine so stuck with that. It was only recently I hit the maf limits, but Dave is helping me around that with the 09+ ecu.

Maf G limits, injectors size limits. <09 have 135g/sec maf limit which I hit ~5k rpm.

Limits aside, MAF will work fine if you have accurate injector data

Running MAF only here with no issues. So far haven't found a reason to go to SD.

I didn't until I hit that limit, so I PE hacked it. Then Dave said just swap to 09, so I'm doing that next. I avoid SD if at all possible.

RPS Billet Triple Carbon, RPS throw out bearing, and ZR1 slave arrived at the shop today.

Hopefully nothing else comes up and this thing can be tuned by next week.

What's special about the RPS throw out bearing?

Probably adjustable to fit the zr1 slave cylinder gap

The reason I ask is I'm pulling my clutch back apart this weekend.. so if there's a different throwout bearing I could use that would last longer, now is the time to change it. I was not very impressed with the stock new one.. and the old one was very toasted

RPS told me to use a ZR1 slave to have proper engagement with their triple in a Z06. The catch is you have to also use their TOB too which I think is a different size.

I have also heard that the Z06 slave can be used but the cylinder would have to be measured and machined.

Yea, z06/ls3 are 1 'height', zr1 is a different shorter height (factory twin disk)

Default MY F1R Experience with Advanced Modern Performance

Well I can tell you that on LATE friday night Sam and Bryan at Advanced Modern Performance made 1015 RWHP on my 2010 camaro that has a STANDARD cubic inch BUILT short block with stock crank. That POWER level was hit at 6400 and SUSTAINED all the way to REDLINE. There was NO power drop off. This was on an F1R .

Earlier in the evening they hit 990 and that was what they shot the video of in their FACEBOOK page. You can check THAT out here:

Non Supporting Vendor link removed

On Saturday, I was invited to attend a AAA car show and I had JOHN FORCE sign the Dyno Sheet below.

Congrats on the new power! What worries me is the F1R running out of air on a larger cube motor like mine ~431ci. I'm sure they will work their magic

Congrats man! That's great power out of an F1R and it does seem to keep up well on the top end. Care to post the cam specs, heads, intake? E85? Timing?
You would be about 990rwhp in SAE and that's definitely in the range of a dialed in F1R combo...albeit the high end of the range. Those guys obviously doing something right...

I remember when Dallas Performance was going a few F1R builds about 5-6 years ago and were getting high 900s, even a couple hit 1k on the nose but they dropped like a stone after 6k rpms...
