Default Meet SNAILS - the Twin 76mm Daily Driver

I thought I'd share some progress pics with everyone. I don't post often, but I'm finally proud of a setup.
The goal is 1500hp, 200+mph in the 1/2 mile, 8.50s in the 1/4... with a 6-speed, and keeping all the amenities. It's a daily driver afterall.
Just ditched my old ttix kit and started over. Trying to fix all the issues I had with the old setup: heat soak, water temps, CRAZY high IATs, couldn't turn the front tires more than 60%, couldn't see the turbo kit, etc...
Going with an ERL block, Callies dragonslayer, ultra I beams, wiseco pistons. Not sure on the heads, but the PRC 285s worked great for me before. RPS quad carbon clutch. Running a 3" radiator that's moved forward and flat, and an air-water I/C. Lots more info, but I don't want to write a novel just yet. I'll post more pics when we have the manifolds done. Project will be done before ShiftS3ctor in April. Also, more pics and info on my facebook car page:

Love it. Nothing like the look of those dual top mounts. Very curious to see how it can be done without too much heat issue. So dam tight these cars. Keep updating !!

Interested in seeing how you handle the manifolds and down pipes... If you take them out the hood, let me have your carbon hood first

Would like to see how you did that cross piece. I'm planning on cutting my support out and doing something like that, but can't get any good info from someone that has done it.

Down pipes are going down and under the steering rack via oval tubes, sorry turbotuner
The cross piece was easy, just cut out the stock bumper and keep the top tabs. a 38" piece of aluminum square stock worked perfect. It's bolted in for now, but it'll get welded. This pic sort of shows what I mean. I also capped the frame rail first.

So the part you hack out is aluminum? I assumed it is because of z06, but others were telling me it is steel. What about airbag sensors?

Yes, It's all aluminum. Relocating airbag sensors. Relocating almost everything actually
Here's another pic of the bumper work, and the abs relocate, and the "re-purposing" of my foglights for oil coolers

What oil coolers did you use. I was thinking about doing that myself or possibly a ram air onto the radiator instead.

Still a toss up on the heat exchanger. I'm going to run ice at events and I've seen other setups keep water at <85* without an exchanger on daily driving/highway pulls. I've got a 4 gal reservoir.... I don't think I'll need one. The 200*+ iat I saw in the 1/2 mile is why I'm running this. I can handle anything <100* on the street.

Looks awesome so far, I love the ABS relocation! I wondered how exact those plastic mock up motor's were. Cant wait to see your manifold design. But looking really good so far. GL!

fwiw, I wasn't impressed with the mock up motor. The block has a high spot where the head meets, so there's gaps, and I'm not sure I can trust it to be true. Considering swapping my bad block in, but it's kind of a pain in the ***. ABS was super easy. Just swapped the main lines around, and moved the rear lines through the fender. I only had to lengthen the fronts and the wiring harness.

Yeah thats what I why I was worried about ever ordering one of those plastic ones for that reason. I have a few bad blocks and heads to use as mock up so its a non issue with me now. Any special fittings for the ABS block its self?
